How the hell can anyone score round 1 to GSP.
But it was close fight and like with Jones/Gus I have feeling there is going to be a online shitstorm about it being a Robbery and how GSP sucks etc.

Jones/Gus was a lot less close than tonight's fight. At least to me.

Dana had the fight 4-1 for Hendricks only giving GSP the third. He didn't seem too pleased at GSP's retirement speech and is calling for an immediate rematch. He also said Nevada has the worst commission and is scared to take his fights to Vegas. That's so beautifully cartoonish. I love the mental image of someone trying to retire and Dana running down to the cage and being like "NO. NOT YET. RING THE BELL DAMMIT!" like he's Vince McMahon.

What the hell is up with him talking "time off"? I'd love to hear him give his feelings in his natural language, and have it translated. It doesn't seem he can get his thoughts across in English.

Listening to the post fight conference, Dana won't have a problem if GSP wants to retire. Taking a break or sabbatical or whatever is what he has a problem with especially after this fight. If this had been a blow away for GSP, Dana would be like "Yeah sure take a break." but with how the fight went, he feels GSP owes it to the title, the fans and Hendricks to do a rematch.

GSP is my favorite fighter, hands down. I gave him three of the five rounds, but I'll honestly say he didn't win the actual fight.
Also, the post-fight press conference started acting wonky for me. Did he clarify what his whole "taking time off" thing is?

Did he clarify what his whole "taking time off" thing is? He just said he'll be hanging the gloves up for a bit to deal with personal issues. Whatever those issues are remains to be seen I guess.

GSP won because he was more well rounded and damage doesn't matter

GSP won because he was more well rounded and damage doesn't matter That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. That's like saying you're a better runner even though I'm faster.

Two of the judges had Round 1 for GSP. They must have been smoking crack with Rob Ford.

Do the judges judge the fight based on a live perspective or do they got monitors? Because from a live perspective, I doubt they'd be able to tell how heavy the elbows Hendrick did while in the clinch were damaging GSP for one thing

One thing people don't realize is that "damage" isn't in the rulebook for scoring rounds. It should be, but isn't.

Just got around to watching it. Las Vegas Screwjob. Before I had my break from UFC/MMA for a while, I was always a GSP guy, but now it's just different. You could tell he was ducking and hiding by saying "he hasto go away for a while" and pretty much early retirement. I hope Dana gets the rematch booked straight away, I have always liked Hendricks and now he will be more motivated than ever to get that belt (which should be his to begin with).
Woodley (who I have never seen before) and Evans (who still seems to have a lot of life left in him) really impressed me. Looking forward to watching my first woman's fight and Weidman/Silva II (hopefully Silva will be serious this time) at 168. I have seen a lot of highlights of Rousey and she seems like an incredible talent (even though I have never seen a full fight from her), what is Tate like?

Tate's a damn good wrestler, striking isn't great. Problem is she can't grapple with Rousey, she's not on her level. Expect it to go a bit like this.
