I thought at first Vickie was paying tribute to Eddie with the fake injury type of thing, but then I read this forum.

I can see other points about AJ suggesting it and it being a gag for them to do and it being a bit more innocent then it seems.
At the same time, pro wrestling companies are run by dicks so I can completely believe this was some kind of stupid joke on AJ.

Who's to say AJ didn't suggest the "heel fakes passing out from dehydration" bit herself? Lawler was in on Punk/Heyman using his heart attack to get heel heat. Impossible. The WWE overlords are ruthless, vindictive monsters. She was forced into this and she hated every second of it. I'll protect you AJ!

I didn't even think about it honestly. I'm sure AJ agreed to it and saw the funny side so I'm sure no damage is done.

Which was weird since that something that JBL will mention even if it's just one line.

Whether it was supposed to be insulting to AJ or not, what annoyed me most about it was how it went on way too long and was extremely not funny. Last night was pretty awful for all the Divas, with this and that stupid musical chairs thing.

I figure Vince, senile as he is, thought it would be a great idea
AJ, realising that WWE is full of carny bullshit like this just thought "whatever" and went along with it.

I didn't really think anything of it other than it was Vickie blatantly faking to try and get out of the match...

Because rephrasing something else someone said such that it's extreme, ridiculous, and obviously not what they meant is always a helpful contribution to any discussion!

What matters is that AJ got loads of screentime, is still the Divas Champion, and the viewing audience got to see her slowly crawl across the ring on all fours.

Well I'm sure they got AJ's consent before doing the segment.
Though AJ seems like the type of person to give the ok for something like this, even if she didn't like the idea.

Eh. It could've been worse, she could've been involved in the musical chairs segment. And this happened: So, I'm good.

Regardless of whether it was a rib on AJ or whatever, it was definitely stupid and pointless.

Honestly, I'm just sick of Vickie in general (and not because of this segment, as I'm no AJ fan either). I'm glad she found work after her husbands death, but does so much of it have to be on my screen?

I just don't understand why Vickie is even required anymore. Especially in an authority figure role considering that it's already filled by HHH and Stephanie.
As for Brad Maddox, I have no idea why he even exists.

It was a very stupid segment which showcased Vickie Guerrero more than AJ. The segment mostly called more AJ to stand around with little emotion while Vickie got to ham it up and get the spotlight. I absolutely think the whole segment was meant to play-off AJ fainting and being dehydrated.
