WOW! Never realized how small venues were during the mid 90's.

I think it's safe to say that Vinnie kept this under his mattress. I can never look at that cover without hearing that indignant hispanic gentleman from Wrestling with Shadows (from the SummerSlam '97 pre-show tailgate scene) who just loves pointing out that Shawn "Doesn't realize one thing.... More men look at that magazine than women!"

The way I see it, HBK was taking the role of Macho Man, as the wrestler that McMahon could both mark out over and build his company around, and as the second son. Also taking the role of Macho Man as the first wrestler that penetrated a McMahon, am I right?

And in HBK's Cocaine-fueled days, I bet he'd do just about anything with just about anyone, too. He didn't do cocaine, just pills. I'm not ruling him out trying it though. Oh really? That's really cool that you're correcting someone about Shawn Michaels' past drug use as if you have some inside information. It's awesome when people post their speculations as though they are fact!

I don't buy the rumous. He was just Vince's most valuable MVP who he couldn't let go to WCW. With Bret, Vince always had the safety net of knowing he didn't want to go and that he saw WWF as his home. With Taker, Vince knew he couldn't go as WWE owned the right to the gimmick and Taker without the gimmick wouldn't be worth the huge salary to poach.
With Shawn he had a guy whose best friends were at WCW in very prominent roles he and would have probably happily have jumped ship were it not for Vince bending over (no pun intended) to accommodate his every whim (see previous brackets). So I think that's the reason why he let Michaels get away with a lot because he didn't want to lose him. To equate that as meaning the two must have had some kind of homosexual affair is taking fantasy a bit too far.

Something goofy happened. Probably some late night blow party beej action or something.
Vince'd strung anybody else up from the yardarm for all the shit Shawn pulled.

Also, Vince enjoying DAT ASS. Sid looks away in disgust when he sees where Vince's hands are while he stares at Shawn's ass.

I can't imagine if there was something there, that Bret wouldn't have talked about it during the decade of animosity. Just hard to think he'd have that for ammo and not use it. Because if Bret went there, Shawn would bring up Bret's numerous affairs, which he eventually did with Sunny Days. This was my favourite part of Bret's book. I've just read 300 pages that more or less went "I snorted something, had an amazing match and then f***ed some ring rat" but when Shawn brings up the Sunny days, how dare a little puke like Shawn Michaels accuse The Hitman of something so horrible! As for Vince and Shawn, I think we'd all be more surprised if there wasn't something going on there.

Read Hardcore Holly's autobiography recently and even he said he thought something was going on between the two.

I remember Vince always commentated Rocky Maivia matches the same way, which was one of the many (many) blatant cues that we were supposed to accept the guy as a huge megastar right off the bat. It's just Vince's way of selling his top babyfaces, like JR creaming himself over Stone Cold.

Any fan of (the American) The Office will understand what I mean that maybe Vince in this scenario is Michael Scott and HBK is Ryan.

As for his enthusiasm during Shawns entrance, I think it was just his attempt at selling his good looks to draw in a female audience. Back in the mid 90s you didn't exactly have many good looking guys for the women to ogle. Shawn, Nash and Bret were about it. People keep saying that Nash was good looking, but I just don't see it, and never have. Well it's an urban legend among my friends that one of my best friends mom has a vibrating Kevin Nash action figure

The problem with that theory is Vince's obsession with Shawn, and Shawn's misbehaviour started long before the curtain call and his friends departure to WCW, heck, he was refusing to job as an IC level guy so being an irreplaceable main event talent doesn't cut it as an explanation for Vince's bizarre fascination with Shawn.

I didn't notice it that much as as kid because Vince seemed to go crazy over most of the upper midcard/main event babyfaces. I could imagine Vince swinging that way for sure but I don't see HBK really going there. I mean he knew his value and could of jumped ship at anytime I just think that Vince was desperate to keep him.

Can't recall Vince doing that with any other male wrestlers.
