Just watched the SS match. He did that one move he can do really well. I saw like 4 people with better performances than him. Hell Cesaro was in the ring. That guy should be the one getting a monster push.
I don't want to be a debbie downer, I just don't see what the big deal is. They clearly wanted that to be a star making performance, but I didn't see anything outside of "he knows good spear....will push".

I didn't see anything outside of "he knows good spear....will push". Some would argue that's all Goldberg needed. ...I mean, not me personally, but still.

The problem with that comparison is that Batista had Triple H to work with, a guy who at that point was a 10x champion and had been booked to go over nearly everyone on the roster. So when Batista eventually turned on him and went babyface the crowd erupted, and because he'd been under HHH's wing for two years it had a lot of build-up.
I know Roan Reigns has the Shield break-up to come, and when he eventually turns face the crowd will mark out and thus make him a star, but that doesn't come close in comparison to turning on Triple H and facing him at Wrestlemania for the world title in the main event. What Reigns would need is a despicable heel to work off, and unfortunately there's nobody on the full-time roster who fulfills that role.
