Views really do change over time. I know when AW was first fired, a lot of people didn't think the joke was a big deal and was pissed at the company.

I STILL don't think the joke was a big deal but the way he handled being chewed out over it was beyond childish. pretty much a textbook example of what not to do in that kind of situation.

It's still weird to me that he made that joke. Not because it was controversial or whatever, just because of the timeframe. What, was there no OJ joke he could make there? Moron.

I'm still waiting for AW Promotions to put on a show. WWE needs competition.

The Prime Time Players probably would have fired him as part of the face turn from Young's coming out.
The other question would be how this would have affected Primo and Epico and Mason Ryan. They were hanging out with him for some reason before he got cut, and after that all three just sunk... so much so that two got repackaged and the other ended up back in developmental.

Well, he already had turned on Primo and Epico and it seemed like that feud had already been resolved by the time AW got fired. As far as Mason Ryan goes, I think they had already forgotten about him as well as I can't remember him actually appearing in front of a crowd after he started hanging around AW and he hadn't been seen since the assosiation with the PTPs.

Oh, right. Forgot about how him having turned on Primo and Epico was how he ended up with The Prime Time Players in the first place.

PTP would probably have gotten the Tag Titles at Night of Champions that year anyway, the only reason they didn't was because Bryan and Kane got so over together WWE pretty much had to capitalise on them and the PTP were a victim of circumstance.
