Uncle Charlie, I might not care for your football team but I respect the hell out of your methods. I wonder if coach Sum has given the Aggies any tests since taking the helm?

Texas has dismissed redshirt sophomore RB Jalen Overstreet due to a violation of team rules.
Taylor Gaspor of Orange Bloods says this is Overstreet's second offense.
So that's 5 or 6 so far kicked off

TCU redshirt sophomore DE Devonte Fields surrendered to Tarrant County authorities on Thursday and was released after posting bond of $3,5000, the Associated Press reports.
Fields was "separated" from the university earlier this week pending an investigation into an incident in which Fields allegedly threatened a woman with a gun; her right cheek was swollen and she had a cut under an eye when the police arrived. The former Big 12 defensive player of the year allegedly pointed a gun at his ex-girlfriend and threatened to "blast" her after an argument. Fields is a big-time on-field talent who has led a troubled off-field existence.

Ok, Godaamit, who is failing to vet recruits for their human f$&@ery capabilities? I mean it my just be the Information Age making all these separate reports of badly behaving student athletes more accessible and known, but it is also highly plausible that these are immature idiots who do not realize the scope of their commitment. Does anyone talk to coaches about how well or I'll behaved a recruit is? That used to be a big factor

Were I a coach, I'd rather have a winning team full of knuckleheads than a losing team full of high character guys. You win, you keep your job, and you feed your family. It's a business, you've gotta maximize profit.

Top 5 in the Coaches Poll:
1. Florida State 2. Alabama 3. Oklahoma 4. Oregon 5. Auburn
Gotta say, I for one am SHOCKED that Alabama and Oklahoma would find themselves in the top 3.

So Mizzou finishes 12-2 last year, yet is nowhere to be found in the Coaches Poll?

So Bama's ranked 2nd above both teams that beat them last season, including the team that stomped them in the Sugar Bowl, and after losing their best defensive player and starting QB?
Gotta love it.

So Mizzou finishes 12-2 last year, yet is nowhere to be found in the Coaches Poll? Granted they lost DGB to OU this offseason that did surprise me a bit. Also surprised to see Ole Miss and Wiscy getting that much love.
