The wife is pretty excited to be honest. She's hoping for Reigns *shrug* Boy do I hope its a returning Ahmed Johnson or Big Daddy V, both shirtless. LOL That would not be optimal. One small saving grace is that we're being pretty loose with the "of/related to" part. It can be a previous look/gimmick/logo/catchphrase etc. That doesn't exactly help with those two in particular, however a purple and gold "M.O.M" is much better than big Vis' swingin funbags.

Daniel Bryan isnt even confirmed to be in the Royal Rumble. I know it makes sense for Daniel Bryan to win and its a f***in no brainer to have him mainevent WM and win the WWE title against all odds. But the fact remains... he is not even in the Rumble and they have suggested with Daniel Bryan's promo last week that he wont be in the Rumble.
IDK why most of you think He will magically insert himself in the Rumble match and will go on to actually win it. Batista is back, he is promised a title match/title reign and Daniel Bryan is not in the rumble. Do the math.. All I can suggest is, dont be so optimistic as it will only lead you to a disappointment.
Royal Rumble will be a decent PPV regardless of who wins, it always is a decent PPV. Setting your expectations high with all the assumptions about how Daniel Bryan will insert himself in the Rumble and go on to win it against a returning Batista is just downright stupid. This way, most people will only ruin the fun for themselves.
With that being said, my pick for the Rumble is CM Punk. Thats the best we can get out of this Rumble. Nothing against Batista, I like him.. but he doesnt need to win a Rumble to get a title shot. CM Punk on the other hand has never won the Rumble and it would be cool to have him in the title match mainevent spot at WM. Like the majority, the ideal situation would be DB winning the Rumble but quite honestly, I dont see that happening.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever used the PS3 Live Event Viewer to watch a PPV? It's either that or but it off the site and hook my laptop up to the TV, but I figure I'd get better quality out of the PS3.

F*** Daniel Bryan; I'm going to be LIVID if the New Age Outlaws don't win the Tag Titles. I could live with the Rhodes retaining, but I have been hoping for them to lose the titles for a few months now - sort of a case where I wanted to see them win them but could live without seeing an actual reign. Ideally, they drop them tonight and plant the seeds for a Cody / Goldust feud, and the Outlaws eventually drop them to the Usos who go on to have a long back-and-forth rivalry with the Real Americans. Unrelated, random thought here, but something tells me this is going to be the first year where the first elimination is the person who comes in sixth or later. Just call it a hunch.

I don't want the Rhodes Brothers dropping the titles right now, because with all the special attractions I really doubt there's going to be room for that rumored Goldust vs. Cody match and I think it's more likely than not they'll just get lost in the shuffle until Wrestlemania season wraps up.

True. Though that relates to another hope of mine, that Mania 30 runs five hours instead of the usual four. Or at the very least WWE finally learns some time management skills.

I'd rather The Brotherhood loses the tag titles at Wrestlemania, resulting in a Summer feud. They can still get a big Wrestlemania moment in the storyline, but the meat and potatoes of the feud comes away from the part-timer shadow.

They can still get a big Wrestlemania moment in the storyline, but the meat and potatoes of the feud comes away from the part-timer shadow. Hm, fair enough. Summertime WWE is usually way better than Mania-time WWE anyway. Unrelated, I think I've hit on a scenario I'm really hoping happens tonight, if the rumored Mania card is the definite plan. Personally this wouldn't lead to my ideal card or anything, but it'd be my ideal way to go about what we're looking at. Orton vs. Cena. The match, on paper, makes no sense, and either one losing to the other right now is going to come out looking terrible. Additionally, there's the looming Lesnar title shot (granted, my idea doesn't really address it) to worry about, and if Orton's still holding the title then, it's hard to imagine him in a heel vs. heel match, or having any chance of beating Lesnar given he lost to Kofi clean the other week. So, for no real reason, for months now Orton has been paranoid that Triple H is backing whoever his opponent is, while at the same time being insistent that he is completely indispensable and the face of the company while not giving Triple H and Stephanie the respect they're demanding. Plus we're in the era of backstage stuff often showing up and being acknowledged in a way onscreen. So, how about Triple H tells Orton in a segment during the show that he's decided he'll take care of him in the match with Cena. When it comes around, it turns out what he was talking about was a triple threat with a returning Sheamus, with the two of them double-teaming Cena throughout and Orton thinking Sheamus is just there to back him up, before naturally being betrayed with Sheamus stealing the title. Triple H denies that being the plan for the moment, and offers Orton a Rumble spot to compensate for it. Orton accepts and enters the match, but he winds up being eliminated late in the game by Batista prompting him to freak out, eliminate Batista, and beat the hell out of him. Bryan goes on to win the Rumble. Suddenly, you have Triple H's golden boy and pupil of a sense, who's the new face of the WWE and has the distinction of previously beating Bryan in eighteen seconds making him an immediate underdog and giving Triple H reason to trust Sheamus to get the job done on his own. Meanwhile Orton and Batista's more an outright blood feud, possibly with Orton being still paranoid and crazy thinking Triple H assigned Batista to specifically eliminate him. Could also maybe try tying that into the Lesnar thing, like have Orton interrupt it in the name of basically trying to get himself included, or maybe demanding to be added as well which leads to a Sheamus / Cena / Orton / Batista / Lesnar / some other guy (Taker?) Elimination Chamber match to put Sheamus over huge heading into Mania. Hell, if the plan's to keep the Authority angle running after Mania, maybe could even ultimately have Orton turn out to be completely right about Batista when he suddenly screws Punk over at Mania. I highly doubt all of this would happen, but it'd make perfect sense and make both Sheamus / Bryan and Batista / Orton way more interesting than they are as of now.

I don't recall (or even know?): what was this place like when Cena won in 2008? Because if Bryan loses.........that happening will look like NOTHING. *runs hands together, sits back, eats popcorn at 8am, rubs hands together again...* (You guys are getting me pumped enough to actually order it myself tonight...blast you all... )

Personally I'm expecting Bryan and Wyatt to enter the Rumble by replacing Harper and Rowan
But I hear Jericho is in town. So maybe Jericho comes out, at a number like 27 or 30. He's got a mike and he announces that he was planning to compete, but he just feels like he's not quite in ring shape right now. So he has a replacement to take his number and out comes Daniel Bryan

I think people were too surprised to really be all that pissed about it. Cena was supposed to be out until after WrestleMania, but for that mutant healing factor. Also, the fact that he won meant that Triple H didn't helped out too.

Now that you mention it I do recall a stunned reaction from wherever I was online in '08 that lasted a bit, as well as something of a widespread (and personal) delight that HHH was the last one eliminated. I figured there'd have been some considerable negative reaction after that surprise wore off, but maybe not now... Anyway, at least 5 people here destroy their televisions. At least.

I'd say all the mods are currently in the FAN Situation Room nutting out the plan of action should Bryan lose. We know nothing of a situation room. We encourage you all to watch the PPV and enjoy it as you always would *shifts eyes* On another note, I just tried to order the live stream on wwe.com, but it said the service is unavailable. Does this happen a lot? Only if your in an underground, temperred steel and lead lined, environmentally controlled, undisclosed location. Just sayin...

It's time to Rumble. It's time for the Royal Rumble!
How important is the luck of the draw in this one? Ever since that sneak in the night DiBiase tried to buy a higher number a few years back, thankfully security and procedural integrity has been tightened up since. Every man for himself, over the top rope and it's all on the line, who will walk out of Pittsburgh not only with all the glory but also that coveted shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in New Orleans at Wrestlemania.
I think you have to look at some of the big guys, some of the beef that's going to be jam-packing the ring. I'm talking about guy like the Big Show and Mark Henry and how about big Dave Batista, making his return to the WWE only this past Monday night on Raw! Highly unlikely, in my book, is anyone else likely to dump these monsters over the top.
You can't claim a guy is mega-over and yet never fail to make excuses for him for the low buys or plateaued TV ratings. How fragile is someone's 'overness' when they can't draw unless the circumstance around the event is perfect?

Wednesday is my fiftieth birthday. We're having a small party here to watch the rumble. I know that it may be poor form to ask for a birthday gift, but what the hay, you only turn 50 once. So here goes... 1. If anybody is going tonight, it would be cool to see a Happy Birthday Bartman sign. 2. I wouldn't mind hearing someone start a "We Want Pete Rose...Clap, Clap, ClapClapClap" chant when Kane comes out.

my guess on the tag titles is that Outlaws win tonight then lose to Uso's tomorrow on Raw.
