What? I didn't see Viktor killing Davey, I saw Davey trying a flip and landing on his head. Dude's not even in ROH and he still finds a way. His selling was laughable. But not bad for the first time doing it. Baby steps. Can we consider this a Christmas miracle? It'd only be a Christmas miracle if Davey were visited by the Ghosts of Holiday No Selling. Who are, respectively, Hogan, Warrior and Undertaker. Despite none of them actually being dead.

That was an amazing Triple H promo. For the first time in 15-20 years he actually put someone over (other than Shawn) and managed to do it in under 15 minutes.
Easily the best promo of his career.

A much better episode of NXT this week.
Triple H was more of a babyface this week. I guess it's okay since it wasn't on one of the main shows, but the big heel authority figure shouldn't be switching between babyface and heel.
Nice tag match to open the show.
I really enjoyed Paige v. Sasha. It wasn't as good as Paige v. Natalya, but it was still a good match.
Great to see Enzo and Big Cass back.
Cool to see the American Pitbulls: Cahill (Edwards) and Billington (Richards), though it sounded like they announced Davey's last name as 'Philbin.' Why not sign them? Obviously Davey's surname was a reference to Dynamite Kid's real last name.
I can't believe the feud between Hunico y Camacho and the Ascension is still ongoing. Somehow it does seem that the Latino/Tongan team is the babyface team in this. I don't know how many more times we will see the 'Hunico' character past this taping of NXT.
I look forward to Natalya v. Emma.
Kofi Kingston v. Alexander Rusev? Watch out, Kofi.
I was wondering why Tyler Breeze was out there with the scrubs as a lumberjack until his interaction with Neville. Finally Breeze is feuding with a babyface the fans actually like. Will Breeze finally got some heel reactions against Neville? Not if this taping of NXT is an indication since they booed Neville for slapping Breeze.

I never thought I'd be happy to not see Alex Riley. Can Tensai have his spot on the announce team for good?

Really liked Triple H's speech to open the show. He sounded sincere, the current incarnation of NXT seems like his brainchild and he's probably pretty damn happy with how it's going.
Antonio Cesaro is the most over man on NXT, makes me so happy every time. So much talent in the opening tag match, when Leo Kruger feels like a bit of a weak link you know the talent level is high. As good as the Real Americans have been, I think Kruger/Cesaro could be even better together in time. Very good match, could've been a classic if it was meant to be one but it was more just a fun match where everyone looks good but the faces go over strong.
Sasha Banks...I swear she discovered an awesome switch somewhere on her skin and flipped it. She kicks so much ass right now, great in the ring and as a character. Paige is great at coming off like a badass yet vulnerable, makes her easy to root for. Nice short match, great intensity, like the opener exactly what it needed to be.
Enzo in his electric wheelchair needs to happen every week. Big Cass threatening to drop Aiden English like an unnecessary theater elective was a great line!
The American Pitbulls gave me a Furnas & LaFon vibe on their debut, being put over as international stars that can "go". I haven't watched either guy much but I've seen enough to be weirded out at seeing Davey Richards in a WWE ring. I hope that botch where he landed on his head won't hurt their chances. Other than that, the PItbulls looked good in the loss. Yet another high-energy, solid match.
Kofi Kingston seemed to be debuting a "worlds most disingenuous babyface" gimmick before he was interrupted by Rusev's lady. Kofi/Rusev could be like something about of Bloodsport.
Regal/Cesaro next week...damn.
Howard Finkel needs to be the ring announcer for some show, any show, every week. Still the best.
Highlight of the first segment of Neville/Dallas was Neville slapping Tyler Breeze. Breeze's sell and the crowd reaction were both fantastic. That school-boy to the floor by Dallas was unique, first time I've ever seen that. Neville's comeback and a lot of his offense is very reminiscent of Tyson Kidd, I wonder who watched who first? Neville's flip dive that took out 16 people looked pretty but pretty far-fetched...come on they're all laid out by that? The finish was perfect though! Slapping Breeze comes back to haunt Neville, and cost him the NXT title. I guess they'll fe feuding now, and Bo can move on to....I don't know. Does Sami Zayn get another shot? There's not really any other face challenges on the horizon.

Brilliant episode this week, perfect hour of wrestling. I usually like longer matches but on NXT even the short matches are really good and have purpose, the show has a great pace to it.

The Fink announcing the main event always gives me chills, nobody can make a main event sound more epic than him.
I only recognized maybe 3 of the lumberjacks other than Breeze, and those I just know from the leaked promos. Breeze being one of the lumberjacks along with the bunch of nobodies reminded me of how in old cartoons when there would be one thing that was obviously drawn differently in the background and you knew it was going to be the one thing that was going to move in the background. That was Breeze, you knew he would interfer.
Also, Natalya has to be one of the least likeable babyface characters, I mean Tyson's match was over and Emma was just wanting to talk to her and she was acting all pissy.
I've never thought of Viktor as a "big guy," but up next to Davey he looked like freakin' Khali.
Also, I hope Alexa Bliss will eventually do something other than ring announcing, I don't care if she's doo-doo in the ring, I like looking at her.

I was looking forward to seeing her as Scott Dawson's trashy gold digger girlfriend after seeing those leaked promos a while back, but with Dawson out injured, that might not happen for a while.

Something I did not remember: Jinder Mahal made it to the finals of the tournament to crown the first NXT Champion.

Emma? Natalya? HHH? Lana? Kofi? People often think they must have been watching a different show but I literally was thanks to the UK cut. That seems like a lot to cut but I suppose I'll take the return of Enzo and The Fink over any of those segments..
Any links to Emma and HHH's segments would be appreciated, obviously no whole shows though.

I assume its to fit in adverts but since its only shown late at night how hard would it be to let it be a 1 hour 15 mins show!

I finally had time to catch this episode and really enjoyed it. It might have helped that the commentary wasn't complete trash.
- The Trips promo was actually pretty good. It was short and to the point, so exactly everything that isn't a typical Trips promo. - Zayn/Kidd vs. Cesaro/Kruger was a great start. - The womens match was good. - The Ascension probably had their best match I've seen from them against the not Wolves. It was also pretty neat to see those guys on a WWE show. - I liked the main event for the most part. But I didn't like it as much as their previous match. Also considering Breeze was the only guy I recognised I quickly figured he'd play into the finish and cost Neville the match. But I'm fine with a feud between those two.
All in all, maybe the best episode I've seen since I started watching.
