If ever there is a Final Destination/WWE crossover, the plot will revolve around the wrestlers who ever draw #14. Mysterious events revolve around Ron Bass, Haku, Kurrgan, Jinder Mahal and Chris Masters for 90 minutes. (You'd think it would revolve around wrestlers who draw #13, but the script is botched)
Edit: btw, original Doink is dead. You better put that on your cursed list along with Umaga/Guerrero/British Bulldog.

Edit: btw, original Doink is dead. You better put that on your cursed list along with Umaga/Guerrero/British Bulldog. It wasn't Matt Borne at the '94 Rumble, IIRC. He was already gone. Though connecting his death to someone else with the same gimmick drawing the unlucky #14 isn't that far from the other leaps in logic required to believe in this "curse".

If you want a number that's actually "cursed" in a way that doesn't require stretching, it's number 3.
Although Flair won from that spot, in 12 of the 26 Rumbles, the first guy eliminated was entrant #3. Two other times they were the second person eliminated. Over 50% of the time #3 usually goes out fast, and is frequently a lower card guy.

I thought kurgan had gone on to acting and was doing ok in that Oddly enough, this jumped out to me as well. Kurrgan's career post WWE is much better than when he was with the company.

Jeff Hardy wasn't released after 2007. Unless there is a smark news story I missed.

This spot was made for Curtis Axel. It fits him so well I will be confused if it ISN'T Curtis Axel.

With all the problems they've both had, this spot is destined for Ryback or Wade Barrett.

If it wasn't for his #14 draw in 1991, we would never know the name DAVID Boy Smith.
(We know what happened to DAVEY Boy. He main evented SummerSlam the next year. If the two are connected in anyway, this is not a curse.)

I want to see #14 actually win the Rumble, main event WM and win the title, and WWE making a big deal out of them "breaking the curse". Like maybe have HHH make Bryan enter at #14 only for him to win. Doesn't have the same dramatic narrative as starting at No. 1 and going all the way to win the RR.

One thing I don't miss about Vince being on commentary for the Royal Rumbles is that he screamed each and every time #30 came out "THIS MAN! THIS MAN is gonna win the Royal Rumble!"
From Henry Godwinn to Vader to any other big hoss, Vince would practically give that man the win before he even stepped in the ring.
Man, that irritated me.

If only British Bulldog and Eddie Guerrero had entered the Rumble a mere 60 seconds later, they might be with us today.... Clearly Shawn Michaels is to blame for this.

Having a big name enter at number 1 is something that's already been done plenty of times.

Having a big name enter at number 1 is something that's already been done plenty of times. Yeah I don't want to see that again for quite a few rumbles. Like if Daniel Bryan enters at #1, it half spoils what's going to happen. It doesn't mean he'll win, but you know he's going to be around in the last 5 or something at the least.

List is wrong.
Most of those guys had fine careers, in WWE and elsewhere.

Having a big name enter at number 1 is something that's already been done plenty of times. Plus, you can still make it as dramatic as the number one drawing. Just have HHH put Bryan in a handicap match beforehand and then he could also drop the line, "Plus I'm giving you the unluckiest number in the rumble."

What's also ironic is that Haku then returned to the Rumble 11 years later.
