[choose 5]
With the rumors of Batista's return, I also heard rumors he may win the Rumble and face Orton for the title. Would I personally want to see that? Absolutely not. It may just be "newz", but I prefer heel Batista, and think him vs. Reigns would be awesome. Anyways, go for it in the poll and comments.

I am going to be at the Royal Rumble. If Batista wins it, I'm walking out right then and there (yes I realize that's the end of the show anyway).

I read this as speculation from old Meltz not an actual source telling him this is going to happen. So Meltz knows as much as I do basically.
For the question of the poll, I rather see Heel Batista vs any babyface more than face Bats.

I'd rather not see Batista ever again. Also, this would be a sure fire way to get me to not care about WrestleMania at all. So I voted 'no'.

Let's have Batista win, despite the fact that everyone knows goddamn well that he's hurt, and then have him get jumped by the Authority the next night on Raw and vacate the titele.

Hell no. Big Orton mark here, but I f***ing hate Batista, especially as a face.

If Randy Orton brought a thigh master to the ring and used it while doing his never ending chinlocks of misery I'd be a fan for life.

Jesus, that could quite possibly be the match that makes me finally quit watching wrestling.
Why would you even suggest such a thing??

Absolutely not.
If they went this direction, it would be a severe letdown. I'm all for Batista returning and being involved in the main event scene, but not at Mania. There are other directions I hope they'd go and not have the Mania title match be the 5234579274293rd Batista/Orton match, and certainly not main event. Ugh at the idea. Ugh ugh ugh f***ing shit ugh.

Honestly if they don't do Lesnar/Taker, then a better use for Big Dave would be Batista/Brock.

I cannot see the poll in the mobile app so I don't know where the following would fall.
With the plan I originally heard (it was all to be a surprise), I would have been all for it. The legit shocker of a multi-time champ and one of my favorites making a surprise return to win the Rumble and go after Orton would have had me going nuts, however the surprise getting out kinda ruins it. It also leaves Punk in the void since I thought this was his year to close it out.

no I don't want him to win the rumble, and that title match will get no heat whatsoever from the crowd

I can see this match happening. Batista will no doubt come back as a babyface...he already has a past with HHH & Orton and it requires very little storyline development to it. Sounds exactly like something they would do.

As they seem to be keen to give orton a main event slot at mania, for me him vs Batista or him vs Sheamus would the best option, as it frees up punk v lesnar, bryan v triple h and cena v taker which is my ideal card in a non Austin/Rock world.

f*** no, but doing this as Batista's return match at the Royal Rumble would be pretty cool.

I could definitely see Batista being the big after Mania return to take out Orton and become the crown jewel of the Authority after Orton fails to get it done against Bryan (or whoever else Orton might face at Wrestlemania).
If he debuts before that, then maybe we get Batista vs. Cena as a distraction for Cena while we get Orton vs. Bryan, or maybe a triple threat with Punk.

That would be absolutely dreadful. If Batista winds up getting Brock instead of Taker, and Taker gets Sheamus, I'll be happy with those two matches. One's a big time feel special attraction match, and one is a big time feel new fresh match with the past and present. You get both, which I like quite a bit.

Man everyone was so excited about Batista coming back in the other thread, now the question is proposed where he faces Orton (aka takes up the slot slated for either Bryan or Punk) and everyone's all of a sudden like "I hate Batista he's awful I want him to go away"
