Add me to the "never liked Natalya" chorus.
She's never done anything for me. No personality, I've never found her matches very good (She's got the Beth Phoenix effect where because they do a power spot unique to women's wrestling, suddenly it's a 'good match') and yes, I find she screws up a lot.

I wouldn't mind her so much if she didn't mention her Hart family background ALL THE TIME!
I understand the social concept of having pride in your family and honoring those who came before, but Christ almighty after following her on twitter and watching her performances, the Hart family bloodline is the ONLY thing interesting about her. If you take away the Hart dungeon footnote, pink attire and sharpshooter from Natalya what does she? Nothing.
That's the reason why she ultimately hasn't been pushed, and similarly why Curtis Axel failed. Honoring the past is one thing, but basing your entire character and in-ring style on some relatives from 20 years ago only serves to make you look unoriginal and inferior.

Her character on Total Divas (its impossible to judge someone based on reality show editing its a mere snippet of a life) is almost unbearable. She's overbearing, insecure, and probably the most annoying person on there besides Eva Marie. That said, I'm sure she's far more tolerable than she's portrayed.
In respect to her WWE persona, IMO she's a charisma vacuum. She's not an ugly girl by any stretch, but she's certainly not gorgeous. She's a good in-ring hand, possibly the best in-ring female in the company, but I find nothing else about her interesting. While I completely understand that WWE doesn't really allow much of the divas to display personality in a big way outside of a chosen few, ALL of them at least seem to be discernible from the other. Nattie just doesn't. I don't think that's her fault personally, I just think some people have that magnetism and Nattie does not.
I cant say I dislike her, but I certainly wouldnt miss her. She's just white bread with nothing on it.

I don't watch Total Divas....so no?
Unless you count that end of the match clothesline thing from RAW. That made me hate everyone including my favorite Diva Naomi

Her ring work has always been pretty overstated too. She's decent, but never been amazing.
Hell I think fandom buys into the Hart thing too at times. If she was Nattie Jones or something, there'd be less praise.

To me, the only two women to come across great on that show are Brie, who seems like a genuinely nice normal person, and Naomi, for the same reasons.
Natalya comes across a bit entitled and spoiled. And I say this as a fan of her in-ring work.
Eva Marie is what she is. Nikki seems a little clueless and often selfish. And Cameron (Ariane): Dear God. She pretty much single-handedly embodies every trait that I'd despise in a woman.

Unlikeable, screechy, bitchy, mannequin, gold-digging women = Women who are "stars"! Likeable, hardworking, charismatic, truth-speaking, role model woman = Horrible and evil witch! Gotta love logic in WWE. It reflects Stephanie's mentality. She's unlikeable, screechy, bitchy, and has had everything handed to her due to nepotism. In her mind, she's a successful and tough businesswoman, and probably honestly thinks that women regard her as a role model. You must have made a mistake. I'm not seeing the word insecurity anywhere in this post.

Everyone on that show is unlikable. Why do they keep billing everyone on that show as faces? They keep getting booed...

I think she's fine and I still like her a hell of a lot more than AJ Lee.
Total Divas isn't making her look the greatest, I'll admit that.

Nattie is basically in the same territory as Mickie James when it comes to her in ring work. Technically sound , but incredibly basic, uninspired, and stale doing the same series of moves in all of her matches . Nattie unfortunately doesn't have the charisma or mic skills Mickie has so she really isn't useful if she isn't putting on very good performances in the ring.

"become unlikable?" She's been unlikable for a while now. Yeah I was early on this one. I haven't liked her for at least 2 years. Total Divas is just solid confirmation. Everyone on that show is unlikable. Why do they keep billing everyone on that show as faces? They keep getting booed... Maybe that's the plan. Maybe they're going to turn them all into Bo Dallases and turn them all heel so AJ can be a mega-over face. Would watch the hell out of Bo-tal Divas.

Minus everything with Gizmo, yeah, she's definitely the Ted Baxter of Total Divas.
I'd say the faces on the show are Brie, Bryan, Cena, Trinity, Jojo, TJ and Flat No. Jon's a tweener, depending on how whiny he's being that week. Vinny's in Kane territory where you're not sure what he is but he's entertaining regardless. Nattie, Eva Marie and her megadouche boyfriend, Nikki and Ariane are the de facto heels.

I do agree Natalya seems very whiny on Total Divas but I think Naomi and Brie Bella come off as pretty likeable women.

If she was Nattie Jones or something, there'd be less praise. I'm probably one of the biggest Bret and Owen Hart fans on the planet. But I've never been impressed with Natalya as a wrestler/Diva. And the fact that she's their niece doesn't change that. I'd give her a 3/10.
