Undertaker went through one real change in appearance with Biker Taker. Every other look lived up to the deadman gimmick and with Biker Taker it made sense in a weird way because he was acting the same in late 99 but dressed as a goth. Original Kane was awesome and became too human and then he just was a regular bald guy with severe mental issues which was different to his original character but still creepy for awhile.
Then he came back with the mask and long hair which to me was only cool for a month or two and just didn't look right at his age. Maybe it was the mask or whatever but let's face it he was alot more badass in his original look.
Now he's come back as a creepy businessman with terrible hair and it doesn't really make sense why he would suddenly be friends with the heels. He's just awkward and we are just waiting until he goes back to creepy Kane again and when he does it will be lame as he will most likely be bald again.
I've been bored by the guy many times but now I'm quite sure I'm done with him.

OG Kane probably would've gotten stale really quick.
I liked Kane once he became "human". Heel Kane is nearly untouchable on the mic, mask or no mask.
Kane is friends with the Authority because he likes their brand of evil and wants to be a part of it. The only problem with Korporate Kane is that he hasn't been given the opportunity to do much. He should be given Main Event as his personal fief (even though he is above the current General Managers). He should be feuding with some other random face, like Miz or Dolph. He should be demeaning the likes of Kidd, Ryder, Riley, Santino, by intimidating them with not only his stroke, but his physical presence, and forcing them into squash matches against himself for his own jollies

It seems like a good way to segway his retirement.
Kane stopped being interesting to me after his peak when he started terrorizing people as the bald monster. Right after the wedding fiasco with Edge is when I lost complete interest. They did revive him with Daniel Bryan, but I can not think of a time I really cared for the guy or understood his overness.
This corporate thing just tells me that he is sick of the gimmick and just wants to play a character closer to himself.
Hopefully the Undertaker has enough dignity to be inducted into the hall of fame out of character because my head would pop right off from shaking it so much if the Undertaker ends his speech by doing that one knee, tongue out taunt.

It would've been worth it if corporate Kane actually did something of value and became one of the top heels in the company.
Instead what they've done is completely destroyed the mystique of Kane's character, and then had him tag along in the background for weeks doing absolutely nothing of substance. It would be like unmasking Sin Cara and then having him wrestle on Superstars. What's the point?

No, not really. If anything he's cemented his image as somebody who can take "questionable" angles and characters and make them enjoyable.
The original Undertaker vs Kane storyline was a slight retread of Undertaker vs Undertaker. Kane's mannerisms and skills in the ring are one of the reasons that it kept going and was successful. He's been in countless angles over the years where he's been given a lemon by creative and turned it into lemonade.

No way.
If anything, he appropriately changed when needed.
If anything, it was his times where he offered little change that hurt him the most, I'm talking about '05 until last year when he came back masked, and even then it was silly until he aligned himself with Bryan. Bald unmasked Kane in tights was about the most useless gimmick that went on for about 5 years too long, although his initial unmasking was great.
Kane was at one point, the ONE guy I wanted to see retire, simply because I was so bored with him. He stayed Bald and unmasked for way too long, and honestly...he had no pizazz to his look compared to before. His "image" changing over the last couple years has changed my opinion on him.

No. In fact, I think he's just further proving that he's invincible when it comes to bad angles or questionable character direction. If he ever goes badass monster Kane again, it will automatically work because the guy pulls off everything.

Maybe but it doesn't matter. He'll retire soon and they're obviously grooming Harper and Rowan to be the new big creepy monsters.

Kane was great and legitimately threatening at first, then boring for a long while, and then he slowly became great again as the gimmick got sillier and more self-aware.

Monster heels will always have a short shelf life in a company where they have to be on TV every week wrestling against other established superstars. There's only so long you can have a heel destroy the rest of your roster. Kane though, has always been able to switch things up, turn heel/face, and still somehow come off as something kind of new whenever he did a change-up. I have no doubt he could do another monster heel run starting tomorrow if needed.

I reckon he's shed the mask and gimmick for a few reasons:
A: he has a movie coming out soon, he'll be doing promo for it, he's unmasked in the movie so its for marketability and visibility.
B: having Kane lose his gimmick makes the Wyats stand out more as the "creepiest" part of the main roster.
C: Kane in real life is known for talking about politics and whatnot so they are playing up that by giving him a politician like gimmick.
D: Kane seems to be winding down his in ring career for an on screen non wrestler role, having him in the mask kind of limits his possibilites in that role.

I just wish they would have given him more to do in the way of being an Enforcer for The Authority in the ring, maybe even give him a run as WWE Champion as The Authority's choice of the Face of the WWE. When Kane returned in a suit I was ridiculously excited to see what happened next with Kane, but nothing has happened.

Honestly, they should've transitioned Big Show from the WWE Title feud into a feud with Korporate Kane. Instead, Show's stuck dressing up as a New Year's Baby and Kane is pretty much doing nothing with the occasional something.

I honestly believe it wouldve been better, and somehow fitting with Kanetinuity if he had become Korporate Kane but with the mask and hair. Same character, just in a suit.

Every time I see this thread, all I can think of is HHH walking in on Kane crying in his office.
"Kane, what's the matter. You're a mess, man!"
"I'VE DESTROYED MY IMAGE. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
HHH pats him on the back.
"There there, big guy, there there."

Trust me, if Kane's image was destroyed, it happened about 10 years ago. I think with this angle, they're setting up for one last match in the mask.

If anyone other than Jacobs was Kane, yes.
But sometime in the future, Kane will be a monster heel again and it'll come off completely natural and appropriate, because of Jacobs' excellent acting.

Maybe they are planning to Undertaker/Kane at Wrestlemania again, with Kane using his new position to screw 'Taker around while 'Taker plays mind games until Kane snaps back to his usual self?

Lemons into lemonade? Easy. Polishing a turd? Simple. What the guy in Waterworld did with his Mr. Coffee? Meh. Banana peels into nuclear material? 1985 called.
Give Kane a chicken bone, the left leg off a pair of counterfeit jeans, the the stuff they throw out at the of the day at your local Indian restaurant and Kane will come back in a week with a jetack that turns smog into pre-captioned kittens.
