Very little about modern day WWE is memorable. Matches and angles are forgotten quickly or blown off. Everything seems rushed and hot-shotted. Promos are lifeless and rigid. You can't really blame a guy for struggling given the framework of the system he's operating in.

You would have to be watching wrestling only a couple of years to consider any of those thing memorable to be honest. Either that or your overrating them because your a fan of Dolph's. As for the MitB cash in the crowd was hot that night so no doubt they would have been for a cash in. The pop would have been huge regardless. And yes the crowd was hot that not, but they were specifically hottest for Ziggler. They were chanting for Ziggler throughout the ADR vs Swaggie/Coulter match, and they were chanting for him as soon as the match started. You can say "oh it would have been huge for anyone," but it wouldn't have been THAT huge for someone that isn't Ziggler. Because Ziggler had the briefcase and Del rio was champ. Lets not forgot they had been teasing a cash in for weeks. Then add in the hot crowd. Ziggler would be getting huge pops all the time if this wasn't the case.

The thing that bothers me about Dolph Ziggler is that he tries too damn hard.
It is comical the way he sells. Kind of like Shawn Michaels against Hulk Hogan, except it is all the time. He does not look very imposing either, so it makes it tough to book him as a main eventer.
Dolph Ziggler is doing all he can do at the moment and I can only see him get a main event run when the WWE becomes really desperate.
TNA would be better for Dolph Ziggler where they have a much better tag team division.

He does get good sized pops consistently despite being treated worse and worse as time goes on. He doesn't get Punk sized pops, but it's not his fault he doesn't have anything resembling a push right now.

WWE may have more tag teams, but they are still doing very little with them. I have more faith in TNA rebuilding the division and giving us much more compelling matches. Cody Rhodes and Goldust as a team was nice to see, but the guys are on such a level that its hard to believe they can lose to everyone else which seems to be WWE's problem. Once they start feuding, the focus on the division will be gone since we have already seen everyone else job left and right.

Ziggler should have been introduced as the new Mr Perfect. An elite athlete who did everything better than everyone else. I would have given him a massive winning streak and the IC title, and let him carry it for a year. He could have been the solid mid-card, high selling, high action athletic wrestler who can always be relied upon to deliver a dynamic match with someone equally talented. Too late now though. WWE have pissed around with him too much.

Average guys totally get the biggest pop in the last several years on a post Mania Raw. That was because the crowd was full of smarks. The casual WWE fan could care less about him.

I'd still love to see him get RVD's ECW gimmick, minus the pot references. Just a cocky son of a bitch who soaks in the adulation of the crowd and constantly wins to back it up. He's halfway there already. Just needs to get that winning part down.

The consistently decent crowd reactions he gets despite his poor booking proves otherwise. He's not Bryan-level, but he's over.

You know you made it when they think you're overrated. Dolph should had never won the world title years ago because expectations got even higher even with his meaningless, first reign. He's very good but not there yet to be a regular member of the elite.

There are lof of midcarders in the WWE, that the casual fan doesnt care about. He is a two time World Heavyweight Champion and yet he is not even among the most over guys.

WWE's tag division is the hottest thing the company has right now. They consistently have the best match on the show and regular tag teams are often featured in TV main events.

Ziggler's always had a lot of ability and charisma. Problem is, ability and charisma alone can't make you successful in an organization that's so rigidly controlled creatively. So... yeah. If given the ball, he could probably run with it. He won't be given the ball, so he'll stay where they've put him. I don't see it as an indictment of his potential, really.

If Daniel Bryan can't be the WWE World Champion then Dolph Ziggler sure as hell won't get that push either.
I love Ziggler and I think that he can be a top guy, but I think the E doesn't feel the same. He was worthy of a World title run, but now with that gone he's gona be relegated to Intercontinental feuds now & forever.

If he really was as over as you claim, then he would be in a feud right now. He is only over in smark towns.
