I was speaking with my friend the other day, and although it probably goes without saying, I was explaining that no matter how good a story is during a match, without a good ending sequence I can never consider the match great. It will always be lacking in some way to me. Mind you, there are many ways to have a spectacular ending.
-One example that comes to my mind is the Zayn/Cesaro 2outof3 falls match where Cesaro stops Zayn mid-air from doing a tornado DDT, deadlift throws him in the air for the uppercut and then hits a brutal Neutralizer for the win.
-Another example for me is dramatic ending to the Triple H/Jericho title match at State College where Hebner runs out, Triple H pushes him down and is distracted long enough for Jericho to hit him with a spinning heel kick and springboard moonsault for the win.
So what are your favorite ending sequences? They don't have to be from your all-time favorite match or anything, but just matches that have a tremendous last minute (give or take.)

If I remember correctly Punk/Jericho at WrestleMania had a really good ending sequence.

Most of the Orton/Christian ending sequences are very entertaining.

The ending of the 2007 Royal Rumble was my favourite final stretch in any match. Few matches have had me on the edge of my seat like the ending of that match did.

Edge, Orton, Michaels, and Cena had a great ending sequence to their fatal four-way at Backlash 07. Just constant Cena going for the FU . . . Oh! RK-NOOO! What? Edge? SPEAR! Oh god, he's gonna SWEET CHIN MUSIC OUT OF NOWHERE!!!

Eddie and Angle's WMXX match with the loose boot. Dramatic and it fit Guerrero's character to a tee.

I love watching the finish of Rock/Brock at Summerslam. It had creative counters that kept the crowd on its feet until Lesnar ultimately hit the F5. They had great chemistry and it showed that night.

I think my favorite finish ever might just be the Michaels / Angle match at WrestleMania 21. Michaels is basically dead and Angle's trash-talking him, sudden kick that murders him, Michaels stumbles up, then Angle suddenly springs up like a zombie out of the grave and grabs his ankle then they just spend ages in it before Michaels taps. Great, dramatic payoff.

Diesel vs. Bret Hart at the Survivor Series 1995.
They have a tremendous match. Diesel puts Bret through a table, which may have been a first for the WWF. After this, Bret sells it like he's just dead. Diesel feels a noticeable bit of remorse. He goes to put Bret in position for the Jacknife Powerbomb. Bret can't even stand up. Mr. Perfect, JR, and Vince are essentially begging Diesel to just pin him. Diesal gets conflicted for a second or two, but as he picks Bret up to try and end it, Bret rolls him up into a small package for the win.
Diesel screams "MOTHER F**ER!!!" and proceeds to snap. Beating down Bret with several powerbombs and taking out a small army of referees. All he says after that is, "I'm BAAAAAACK!"
The finish achieves a few important things:
Bret regains the title with a never-say-die attitude. He looks strong.
Diesel loses the title, but looks like a badass while doing it. He only barely loses the match. He manages to turn heel in an effective, believable manner. He looks strong.
The finish made both guys look better, essentially.

- The match between young Orton and Lesnar. Randy went for the crossbody from the top but Lesnar rolled through and hoisted him onto his shoulders for the F-5. All in one rolling motion.
- The Shelton Benjamin / Shawn Michaels match with the springboard across the ring right into the superkick.

Warrior-Hogan WM6 was good. Think it was the first time I ever saw Hulk miss the legdrop.

1. Lesnar/Taker, Hell in a Cell. The insane tombstone into F5 flip. 2. Hogan/Andre, WM 3. As simple a finish as possible, and yet still the most epic moment in Wrestlemania history. 3. Yokozuna/Taker, Royal Rumble 94. Wrestling as its most f***ing gloriously insane.
Non WWE Pick
Dramer/Raven at Wrestlepalooza 97. Dreamer ends a 2.5 year war by FINALLY pinning Raven...enter Jerry Lawler.

Eddie and Angle's WMXX match with the loose boot. Dramatic and it fit Guerrero's character to a tee. They both played their parts so well. The facial expressions on both guys, after a fantastic match, it just clicked.

Cena vs. Punk from MITB 2011. Cena seemingly having it won with the STF and John Laurinaitis possibly "helping" in the win, only for Cena to deck Ace, which later leads to his downfall as Punk hit GTS for the win. A great dramatic finish to a great, dramatic match.

I liked the 2008 SmackDown Elimination Chamber finish with Undertaker reversing Batista's attempt at slamming him face first into the cage to somehow flawlessly ending up right in the middle of the ring for the Tombstone www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6z7daKu7s0

Antonio Cesaro vs. Alex Riley from a randomSmackDown in 2012. Riley goes for his comeback sequence only for Cesaro to grab his ear mid-spinebuster, and then uppercut him before finishing him off with the Neutralizer. Cesaro looked dominant but Riley still made the most of what little he got. That is how you do a short jobber match.

Insane ending.
