Guys, let's be honest, HBK has been gone for four years. Him vs Bryan may end up being a train wreck due to his lack of ring-time. I'd rather he wrestle in a match where they have a way to hide his weaknesses and highlight his strengths and this would be the best way.
Also imagine the pop he'd get if he turns on HHH, gives him a SCM, then lets Bryan hit the Face Changer on HHH for the win and the show ended with Bryan and HBK embracing?
That would be a Mania moment that winning a title simply wouldn't do.

That would be a Mania moment that winning a title simply wouldn't do. Part of me would rather him not come back at all. I feel like it'll become all about HHH and HBK's friendship while having very little to do with Bryan. At least winning the title at WM would be HIS story rather than just being a bit player of the never ending Hunner/H.B. Shizzle love story.

it'd be a great match if Trips actually did the right thing and rolled over and played dead for once.

I'd like to see more people who didn't retire years ago.
Do people really need another last match out of HBK? He had just about as good a last match as you can have.

The only match I want to see Bryan in, is the one for the world title. Anything else would be a disappointment. Bryan beating HHH would be fine. It would allow him to continue to be established as a top face for a future "real" title run, while letting them stall a bit rather than doing more Bryan vs Orton matches. pretty much this. Bryan beating Cena clean did more for him than any 3-6 month title reign could. the belts are mostly just props anyway.

I'm not sure about a match heavily featuring a 48 year old man who hasn't had a match in years.

No thanks. Bryan should win the Rumble, Cena should win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Elimination Chamber and Bryan should go over Cena clean again in the main event of Wrestlemania to finally end this story arc.

I'm not sure about a match heavily featuring a 48 year old man who hasn't had a match in years. He's still in the same shape he was a few years ago. When he retired he was still having the best matches on the card. He's also not a stranger to wrestling after being in retirement for 3 or 4 years and still stealing the show. And he'd be wrestling the best wrestler today, so I think the match has about a 1% chance of not being great.

HBK honestly has a pretty simple ring style based more on psychology than ring prowess.
He seems like the kind of guy that could come back for "one more match" and do fine. He's not unlike the Undertaker in that respect.
Consider his match with Angle at mania 21. If not his best match then definitely one of them. It was relatively slow paced with a fair amount of downtime between moves added for story effect.
His mania 25 match with Taker was similar.
His matches weren't always like that. But they very commonly were when he returned after being gone.
I know his big matches typically had one big spot or two, but they weren't anything he couldn't do now imo. If he could do a backflip and land on someone on a table then, he could practice a little and do it now. In the end, it isn't something particularly difficult.

I mean, on the one hand, I think it'd be fab. And Bryan was just saying in that interview the other day that he really wished he'd gotten the chance to wrestle Shawn. But as much as Shawn's first comeback was amazeballs and as good as he still was when he left, everyone starts breaking down eventually. I just don't know if I think he'd still be able to do much. A tag match would be a better bet than a singles match, but then I also agree with the worry that HHH/HBK drama would overshadow any other story elements, because they really can't seem to help themselves in that regard.
Blah. I don't know, I think it's a good idea that would probably be ruined by reality.

I just wouldn't want HBK's return and final match to be yet another DX reunion tag match. I would much prefer HBK vs Punk or HBK vs Bryan 25 to 30 minutes bell to bell, just leave trips out of it altogether
