I was about to mention that. What the hell is she even getting at? Obviously some failed reference to Dark Knight but....wha?

Silva's 38 going on 39. He's got millions in the bank. He's a god in Brazil. I gotta think that was very likely his very last UFC fight. And quite frankly, if it were that's okay. He's given me and all of us MMA fans years of amazing fights and memorable finishes.
And after that post-fight interview, I want Ronda Rousey to be the Tito Ortiz of women's MMA. The person you pay to see lose. There's something about her that I just can't stand. I know Tate isn't a perfect little angel, but respect is a big part of MMA and no matter how silly of a feud you got, if one person is willing to put their differences aside and offer a hand, you take it. You don't have to go to brunch together tomorrow morning or friend each other on Twitter.

Sadly, Silva is done. It would take about a year before he could even walk properly, then talk about getting back in fighting shape. He would be over 40 for sure before he could even think about a comeback. Kevin Ware came back in 12 months(the Louisville basketball player who broke his leg),and Steve Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lighting broke his tibia, and was back walking in just a few weeks. In saying all that, is there any way his leg get's to 100%? Kicking was a small, yet important part of Silva's game, if it does not get to 100% again, there is just no way. Not only could he not throw kicks, but people will be kicking it in fights Bone is pretty good at coming back, the damage to the rest of the leg is what you often have to worry about (especially nerve and ligament damage). That all really depends with how the bone broke. But at his age, a comeback doesn't seem likely. Both Ware and Stamkos are really young, Silva is going to be out a long time if he doesn't retire, and even with surgery, it may not be quite as strong or feel right.

She's embraced being the heel, turned her attitude up, and people will pay to see her lose. She's reaping the benefits from her persona, and so is UFC.

The only problem is that unlike the guys where there is a ton of talent I'm not sure that there are actually any women that can beat Rousey at the moment.

Miesha's been trolling her for a while, and didn't deserve the title shot. Plus Miesha and Caraway have been a little heelish in the past. I like Ronda, she is pretty much the only woman in the UFC who deserves her contract.

I seriously believe Chris Weidman has a Gypsy Curse upon him.
"You shall become the top of your profession. You shall conquer kings. You shall hold a lifetime of money. However, your accomplishments will forever be tainted and mocked. Your abilities questioned. Your career plagued by "What ifs." Mockery will be your highest praise. Also, someone you know is now thinner."

Be interesting to see how Sara McMann approaches Ronda in February. First time two Olympic medalists face off in MMA I do believe.

If this is truly the end, I can't think of a GOAT going out in worse fashion than maybe outside of Bobby Orr.
Just awful.

I had to try and explain to some of the fatsos in press row tonight that Weidman won both rounds in both fights handily before "Silva beat Silva". And at the presser? Dear god. You could almost feel the loathing Chris had for the stupid questions he was getting from these same idiots. I even joked with a colleague there that even if Weidman literally tore Silva's head off and killed him that some of these guys STILL would be undermining his win.
Reporter #1: "I have a question for Mr. Weidman. If you had not punched Anderson's head off, and he was still alive, and not dead like he is, do you think that would have changed how you approached this fight?"
Weidman: "He's dead."
Reporter #1: "Yes, but if he was not. If he was alive, and you had not killed him, do you think you could have still found a way to win?"
Weidman: "He's dead, though. It doesn't matter."
"Reporter #1: "I understand that. But if he wasn't..."
Chris pulls out Uzi and mows down sea of double chins in front row.
Weidman: "Any other questions!?"
Reporter # 28: "Yes, if it was you that had died and not Anderson..."
Btw, the woman asking the shit questions was from HGTV. Who credentialed her? Jesus. Stay tuned to UFC 169 as seen through the eyes of the dude who hosts Chopped on the Food Network.

I just waiting to see if Weidman ends up testing positive for adamantium. How does THAT happen off a check block?
