Legit one of the best movies I've ever seen. What did you guys think about it?

Liked it when I first saw it. Think that it's pretty stupid now.

When I was a kid, I thought it was some type of very campy comedy and really didn't "get" the movie until I was older.

It's a great flick that I'll watch every few years, and still holds up. Maybe shouldn't have beaten out Shawshank or Pulp Fiction, but the argument can be made for any of the three.

I think it's a bit too whimsical, but it's still a damn good movie. In regards to it winning the Oscar for Best Picture, I prefer both Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption over it, but those are also two of my favorite movies (also, I'm sure they were viewed differently in '94 then they are now).

One of my all time favorite movies. It's one of the few movies that when I see on TV, I stop in whatever I was watching and watch Forrest Gump instead. I do believe it was the right movie to win 1994 Oscars

As someone who loves history, the way it used major events to tell the tale of this incredibly simple man was superb. I will watch it anytime I see it on, it just captures my attention and every scene is so damn engrossing.

Funnily enough I almost always find it during his time as a child/teen so I don't miss any of the really good parts, such as EVERYTHING involving Lt. Dan.

What I like about the movie is that it has a really transcendent quality. You can look at it from numerous political and religious sides.

I have it on my Netflix list, but I haven't watched it yet. I'll probably end up watching it after the Broncos game, though.

I thought it was a true story at first. Always wondered if he ever stopped to sleep while running back and forth across country.

I like it, but it feels a little... sacchrine to me. I dunno.
And it came out in a great year for movies, as it wasn't better than Quiz Show, Madness of King George, Ed Wood, Bullets over Broadway, Heavenly Creatures, Eat Drink Man Woman, and Burnt by the Sun. I put it on par with Shawshank (which flags in the third act), and Pulp Fiction.
Though I would probably choose Quiz Show as the best movie, or Burnt by the Sun.

I thought it was a true story at first. Always wondered if he ever stopped to sleep while running back and forth across country. "When I got tired, I slept. When I got hungry, I ate. And when I had to go....you know, I went." Anyway, yeah. One of the few movies I must stop and watch whenever it's on(another being Shawshank, actually). Absolutely fantastic movie.

I thought it was a true story at first. Always wondered if he ever stopped to sleep while running back and forth across country. I thought it was too. I didn't know that The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. was actually inspired by the movie. I always thought it was founded by "the real Forrest Gump".

I hate the haters of this.Classic f***in' movie. I don't hate the movie. Even though I am accused of being a Hater. But it was a great movie that came out in a year FILLED with Great to Amazing movies. I mean, apart from the shadow of Boom mic every time it cuts to the bus stop. But, that doesn't really detract from the movie.

It's a good movie, but after a while I started to find it a bit... cheesy. I don't think it's bad, but over time I think it's lost some of it's luster.
