The scary thing is, I keep thinking that there is no way WWE would turn a white-hot babyface like Bryan. Know what pops into my head then? Yeah, I ain't forgot that shit. And Ryback. At least with Punk everyone knew Punk is an amazing heel and the idea of him and Heyman partnering up cutting epic promos together does sound very interesting to every CM Punk fan. Plus it sort of made sense that The Rock needed to be in at least one heated Face vs. Heel feud before he's gone again and not another Team vs. Team feud. Still it was a f***ing stupid turn but at least Punk already built in life long fan support to get his babyface reactions back.

If Bryan hasn't left them by the end of the Rumble, I will be shocked (usually this is where I'd say I'll eat something unusual), to me, that is the point of no return for this angle so to speak.

The more I think about it the more I love it. They did a great job over the course of the night showing Bryan's feud with the Wyatts, him getting his ass beat at every turn. he even said "it doesn't matter how many matches I won or that the fans chanted yes in every building". He's done the very best anybody could for this whole year, and he keeps getting beat up and f***ed over and not getting what he deserves, and he's sick of it. The beating the Wyatts gave him tonight really sold it too, I was feeling bad for the guy even though I know it's fake. That was some of the most compelling storytelling I've ever seen on a wrestling show. It's not wait and see, it's don't f*** it up. There's a difference. It would have been compelling if we knew why they wanted Bryan to join them. I've been watching semi-regularly and I don't remember them giving a reason. Just beat him up, say something cryptic nonsense and leave him in a parking lot. Over and over again. In a kung fu movie, a villain would kill the master. Why? Because he's competition. Hero wants revenge. The heels actions set the plot in motion, but what is the plot? Why do they want Bryan? It's fun to speculate, but they did not make the lead up to this compelling.

IF this isn't a swerve that doesn't end with Bryan back firmly against these guys and a face, then this is right up there with the list of dumbest of dumbest things WWE has ever done.

I am wondering where exactly does the family go from here? Bryan joined the anti-establishment group because The Authority kept putting impossible odds against him. Shouldn't the Wyatts go after The Authority? It sounds like Bryan joined for face-like reasons, yet he will become a heel. If the Family turned against Hunter and company to fight with Bryan as one, THAT would be interesting.

I'm too apathetic to get upset. The WWE broke my spirit years ago. I was wondering what would break first, your spirit or your body.

Seriously ppl, look at 4 pages already. That alone shows how well planned out this was. WWE drew the audience in, got them to care about Bryan, and now they have us waiting on the edge to see what happens next. I hope they keep this kind of booking up.
I also hope that Bryan's friend Punk, not Cena, is the one to try to save him from the Family. But that is just me.

I know this is going to sound condescending. I am not attempting to troll you by saying this either. People here are getting worked and they don't like it one bit. You should WANT to be worked. I don't think I'm getting worked. I am somebody who gave WWE every benefit of the doubt with the Authority angle. I truly believed they knew the end game was for Bryan to prevail over evil. Well, here we are. The main event at TLC was Orton vs. Cena. The main event at the Rumble will be Orton vs. Cena. And meanwhile Bryan is futzing around with the Wyatts, now months removed from his top angle with Orton and Triple H. The key to making a guy a top guy is keeping him at the top. WWE loves to mythicize what makes a top guy when the answer is pretty clearly being a main eventer and doing it for a long enough time that the fans don't see the guy as anything else but a top star.

Okay, I am quite split on the "turn" myself. As far as the actual angle itself, I do think it is interesting and I want to see where it goes. On the other hand, this makes it seem (at least to me) that Bryan has absolutely no chance at winning the WWE Title back at Wrestlemania, which is completely ridiculous to me. Also, considering the last two times that WWE tried turning (or semi-turning at the moment) a super-over face, both ended up being completely stupid (Cheap Heat Punk & Ryback).

I hope this isn't against forum rules, but I got some serious "Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness" vibes out of all this, and they're going with the alternate universe route of Jesus actually giving in to the temptation.

My whole issue is this. Replace Bryan with Cena in this storyline. Does ANYONE earnestly believe they would have Cena basically give up and concede to the heels like Bryan did? How about CM Punk? Hell, even Sheamus? They literally took their most popular guy with live audiences and made him look essentially like he's a quitter. That he would rather join a stable of bad guys than continue to fight. Sure, he'll end up breaking through, but it's certainly possible there's potential damage being done by him just admitting defeat the way he did. That can be true, but this also was a very realistic response to this situation. I think with how many people crap on Cena for shrugging things off and no selling important stuff to him, that Bryan actually acting like a rational person and not just a superman baby-face is kinda refreshing. I mean this guy is the most popular superstar, works the best matches and beats everybody yet he gets his ass kicked weekly, doesn't get any title matches and his bosses hate him. So I can see someone going why the f*** do I keep doing what I was doing expected a different result when I know I have no support from the top. Maybe hanging with these bad guys will help change my fortunes. Of course the logical conclusion for this should be Bryan either A) Bryan using this as a ruse to finally get close to Bray and get his revenge B) The fan support eventually overwhelms Bryan to the point that he finally realizes back when he was a babyface he wasn't fighting for himself, rather he was fighting for all those little jimmies and fans out there int he world and he turns back to a kickass babyface.

Actually, I'd have been more interested in Kane's storyline if they played it out like this instead. Though that would mean we lost Korporate Kane however.

I'm of two minds on the subject.
1. I sincerely hope he doesn't turn and this is all a trick by Bryan.
2. I sincerely hope he doesn't turn because I think there was a guy on here who said he's eat shoes if Bryan didn't turn heel before Mania.
