Love the concept. Not so much in execution. But I'm bi in real life so if I were a wrestler I'd probably exploit it to make my character creepier as well.

Honestly, I thought it was the most thought provoking gimmick in years. It had legs. It was different every week. Homophobia and wrestling fans are nearly synonymous. I think the heat was too much bad heat and Hogan and Bischoff killed it before it took hold. At that point they were flinging crap to see what stuck. In this case I think thy had something but axed it.

Taz and Tenay looking bewildered around the one minute mark should be a .gif.

Something that was promised to be groundbreaking winding up being the typical oversexed gay guy gimmick.

Honestly, I thought it was the most thought provoking gimmick in years. Beg pardon? There was nothing thought provoking about it. It made out that just cause OJ was bi, he was some sort of sexual freak. I'd argue it was an ill-thought utterly backwards gimmick.

OJ said it was supposed to be inspirational for GLBTG teens. It was like anti that as his character was some sexual deviant. And this is coming from a fan of Danshoku Dino.

The one little kid who sticks his hand out for a high five is the best part.

I didn't mind it and to be honest I think it could have gone places had Hogan and Bisch not nixed it. I know it was out there and many people see it as counter to it's cause but honestly if it were given more time and effort I think it could have gone places and been better than it was. On the other hand, TNA.

Taz and Tenay looking bewildered around the one minute mark should be a .gif. The way Taz looks in this .gif pretty much sums up his entire announcing style in TNA. Bi the way, I knew exactly what segment this would be about as soon as I read the title. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Featuring a special appearance by Santana Garrett. I never knew that, but I just rewatched the awful segment to see her. Damn I gave up on TNA just after Hogan arrived. I don't regret it.

I'm sure I'm not the only one. I for some reason expected it to be about the time AJ Styles broke into someone's locker room with a chainsaw and called Disco Inferno a faggot. I don't know why.

I feel it had potential, but they went the completely wrong way with it. It's a risk, but i think it's time we had a gay character in wrestling who didnt' act ... stereotypically gay.
They should have let him tell his story in a promo on his debut, saying he's happy he doesn't have to hide behind a gimmick anymore and that he's happy to finally be out in public. This could lead to him being gay without coming off as a stererotype. Just let him be a wrestler without shoving it down people's throats.
Much like Darren Young. He came out and he didn't change his character at all, which was definitely the right move to make in the situation.
