This really all started with Hogan and his cash in the X-Division title to get a shot at the TNA World HEavyweight title, but since he left TNA, the treatment of the division has actually gotten worst. You know, the idea that the X-Division title is a guaranteed gateway to the World title should in theory be a major catalyst for all that happens in this division. Smaller wrestlers all around the world should be lining up just to be a part of this division, and everyone that fits the criteria of an X-Division wrestler should be trying to get their hands on the title all year so they can have the World title shot in July. This absolutely writes itself, yet for some reason, TNA seemingly has no idea how to use such an obvious booking crutch. Even when it becomes closer to the time of the title shot, there are X-Division guys who aren't even trying to be part of the division. I just don't get it.
