Would this turn him into a popular babyface all over again?

It will until he tries to get "Ryback Rules" over again.

WWE fans have short attention spans, so yes.

Yeah, they could honestly just start over and do the exact same thing again and pepole would cheer him and chant FEED ME MORE. What may be tougher is getting fans to actually believe WWE is serious about him again. And the Goldberg chants would intensify.

WWE would essentially be saying "we f***ed up with Ryback so we're trying again, sorry" which is something they would never do so no I don't think it will ever happen.
Sure it would work but yeah they're too stubborn and prideful.

Having Ryback go back to squashing heel jobbers would be the ultimate step backwards. Ryback actually has a personality as the heel bully.
Making him to back to being a jobber killer would only further encourage the Goldberg chants

The weird thing is, I can picture Monster Babyface Ryback completely squashing Heel Bully Ryback; the two seem like different people at this point.

It'd definitely be an improvement over where he's at now, but I think they've completely wrecked him and he'll never be anywhere near as popular as he was. The only way I could really see him standing a chance is if he completely disappeared for, like, a year then when he came back they completely failed to acknowledge that he'd ever been heel.

It would work for me. Hah, but only if he took some time off.

I think it's fairly obvious that he must have either rubbed the wrong guy wrong backstage, or Mr. Kennedy'd himself to a power player. A dude that over, and with a look that would make Vince want to get his dick out, just doesn't get that poorly booked without it being some sort of punishment/lesson.

Yes it would. However, the second he started wrestling matches longer than 30 seconds he'll get Goldberg chants again.

It might.
Until they need someone to distract Cena for a couple months.

I think most of the "Wrestler A is getting buried and pushed down because of backstage politicing" stuff is vastly overblown on the internet, but it's hard to think of another rational explanation for Ryback's career trajectory. At first I thought it was an Ahmed Johnson-like thing where he was unsafe in the ring, but they kept putting him up against their top cash cows Cena and Punk repeatedly (even after Cena raced back from injury early), so there's something else going on here.
