Thing is, he doesn't even need to wrestle. Make him a special guest referee or make him the host of Wrestlemania.

I agree in principle. If Hogan can't wrestle against Cena in a battle of the generations then them being in the same match is a waste. Cena is the top guy and with all that he has given to WWE he should be in main event angle at Mania. This isn't like the old days when a big name tag team match could main event.

I honestly think having Cena partnering with Hulk and is the best way to use him this Wrestlemania. Its a high profile match, but keeps him away from the dominant storyline right now the WWE. Let Punk and Bryan face the Authority while Cena helps Hulk beat up those poser "Real Americans".

It makes no sense kayfabe wise to have John Cena lose clean to the Undertaker. That is probably the biggest reason why.
Undertaker would have to use shennanigans or they could make it seem as though John Cena got too cocky and ended up screwing himself over.
I wanted to see the match a while ago, but I lost interest in that.

If he's in a match he should do very very little physical.....it's too risky now. As a host would be better , yes.
I'd also like to hear him on commentary now and then but Vince would prolly not afford Hogans asking price.

Does anyone who wants to see Hogan return to the ring even see his match against Sting in 2011? The guy was practically immobile, and I think this was BEFORE he had to have a steel rod inserted up his ass to keep his spine held together.

Some people just love nostalgia, to the point where they don't even care about the match quality, or the superstar's health.

If Hogan and Cena have to team up, why not have them go against the Shield? The Real Americans aren't exactly jobbers, but there wouldn't be as much drama in the outcome considering Cena and the Rhodeses have been able to dispatch Swagger and Cesaro, whereas Cena (not that he needs it, but just saying) has yet to have a clear cut memorable win over Shield like Bryan and Punk have. Kayfabe wise he's still their bitch, so there wouldn't be as much of an "Awesome Truth" vibe.
Of course, Hogan can only take a mild beatdown. If he got Reigns speared or triple powerbombed, there'd be thread after thread of people calling for Vince to be charged with criminal negligence.

Hogan needs help just walking sometimes now. I don't think he can even work a match where he doesn't take bumps. Even tagging in for 1 minute.
Remember how disappointing Bret vs Vince was? Where afterwards you thought "Wow, I didn't want to see that?" It'd be like that but 10x worse. I bet Hogan couldn't even recreate his segment he did with Hassan at mania.
