I've been speculating that WWE is high on him for months in the NXT threads. Sometimes you can just tell when WWE loves a guy.

I guess it's also quite possible was that someone said 'He has a great work ethic. That could carry him a far way' which gets newzed into 'WWE officials think he's the next John Cena'.

Rawley's not a Khali-level stiff or anything, but other than some decent energy the guy brings absolutely nothing to the table from what I've seen of him.

Unlike Mr Rawley, I sincerely doubt they'll "stay hype" on him.

I'd hate to be a "can't miss" developmental prospect. those guys always fizzle out. remember Bobby Lashley, Ken Kennedy, Dan Rodimer and Kenny Dykstra? any guy that gets the "future face of the company" treatment when they're in developmental always collapses. Bobby Lashley did well enough, it was just that he quit. I wouldn't say they "collapse". The problem is more that WWE wants them to be the "face of the company or nothing" and would rather give up on them than give them a middle ground and let them thrive in the mid/low card.

If Mojo Rawley doesn't get hyped - he stays hyped, how does he pass wellness?

He needs a lot of polishing and maybe some character other than "consistently hyped", which is a thing I don't really get. Also his face always looks uncomfortable?

His facial expression seems constantly set to "Just shit myself" Anyway, not a fan by far. Annoying gimmick with the whole "GET HYPE" thing, I thought he was supposed to have ADD or something at first. Not that good in the ring either.

He has the looks of Andre the Giant, and the strength of Barry Windham. Not to mention he's a hero to a few armadillos, a kangaroo and a small herd of bison.

For me, he just needs a better finish than the Whoopie Cushion.

I don't about that. Cena, Batista, Orton and Lesnar did well for themselves and WWE. Since then, yeah a bunch of failures though it seemed Lashley was going to make it before he left. And Big E seems well on his way.

All these threads about what dirtsheets are "reporting" is interesting. Again it could be case here where the WWE knows he sucks now, but feels he's a a diamond in the rough and if molded right could be a superstar. I don't see yet but you never know. Agreed. it's no different than a GM or a scout from a major league baseball team talking up a player from Single A. If he continues to do what he's doing and avoids any major screw ups, he'll be a big deal someday. Not tomorrow, not next week. Someday. The article makes it seem like he's going to be called up any second now, which is silly on multiple levels. About his wrestling ability: I saw him work a match against Briley Pierce at an NXT house show in March. He was awful compared to others on the card (Sami Zayn, Xavier Woods, even Aiden English), but considering he had less than a year's experience at that point, it was understandable. The guy who's on NXT right now is easily a hundred times better now than the guy I saw work live. If he keeps up this level of progression - again, big if here - he will be a star someday.

Someone misheard marijuana and thought they said Mojo Rawley Mojo Rawley does sound like an obscure slang term for marijuana.

OF COURSE this is the guy they like.
But yeah, he's just awful. Terrible, even.
