Sadly, Flair holding up promoters for more money at the last-minute isn't anything new. I don't blame the promoter for not giving in. Offer the fans something for the disappointment, but I'd have stuck to my guns too. Especially since Flair did show up initially. Side-note, partying with Ric Flair reminds me of that ridiculous Kevin Nash Ebay auction from years ago. What was it? Smoke a cigar with Kevin Nash, and he'd also read to you or something?

Flair is already a small fortune to get to a show. I don't know his rate right now but back when he first left WWE and was doing independent appearances it was 25,000 dollars, A Limousine to get him from the Airport and a first class clight from wherever he was living at that time (Probably Carolina) You have to figure he's probably half that now and can't demand the first class flight but that's still 12500 dollars and a 200-300 dollar limo hire and then hotels simply for a guy to turn up and be a referee or cut a promo. It's a lot of money. Then Flair holds this guy up for more money, I'd be pissed as well if I were the promoter.

Would anybody turn this down? Apart from Shane Douglas.
