One things for sure, seeing the tough time editing around footage back them really makes one appreciate the spectacular job they did editing whole characters out during Megaforce. Don't forget them excising out angel wings, since the source show that Megaforce is based on had its Rangers be angels-in-training. Though, of course, they failed to edit out the text on the various cards and what not, but hey, can't have everything on one shot.

I think people on other boards I frequent made too big a deal about the cards. Instances of the angel wings showing up was about 5 times or so. The cards were multiple times per episode, and the only real issue to arise from them was in Who's Crying Now? when the card in close-up read Hyper Gosei Great, and the Power Rangers themselves called it something different.

Okay, I've just been watching Operation Overdrive and, in my opinion, it was abysmal. I just didn't like the Rangers to be honest, they weren't as cool as the Ninja Storm, SPD or Dino Thunder team in my view.
However like normal there are a few good things about it, Miratrix, the bringing in of Thrax (even though I think he should've been the main villain of the series) and that awesome piece of fur around Kamdor's neck. I really liked the fact that there was different villainous fractions and they were just as much at odds with each-other as they were with the rangers.
If someone would GIF Miratrix's reaction to the scroll when nothing happened, that would be a great GIF to use for 'Not Sure If Serious' or if a thread that just dissolves into an argument.

Heads up, Super Megaforce trailer
February 15th. I need to find out when it starts in the UK though. Hopefully not too long after.
I'm still not feeling the Super Megaforce suits merely being a power-up. It's awkward. Aside from the fact that I love the Gokaiger suits, the morphs into past rangers are going to be something like this:
Morph into Megaforce THEN Super Megaforce THEN morph into previous rangers.
That's clunky as hell. At least the new morphers don't have "GOKAIGER" written on them like the cards with Goseiger stuff all over them.
If I was doing this, I'd have had the Megaforce powers get lost somehow and have them somehow "earn" the new powers. Old-school. This is yet another Gosei ass-pull. Remember when rangers had to risk life and limb and earn the trust of total strangers to get new powers?
I've else read elsewhere that from the toys that are set to come out soon, that the new Silver Ranger Orion's zord will be called the Q-Rex Megazord. Essentially they're spinning it as Orion getting it from the Quantum Ranger. I'm OK with this. Maybe this means we'll see Eric in Super Megaforce somehow (He wasn't present for the Legend War shoot, could be in a possible Timeforce focus episode, or whenever Orion debuts). Hopefully it's Dan Southworth and not a guy in the Quantum Ranger suit with a soundalike voice actor (which may or may not have been the case with "Clash of the Red Rangers" - it was never confirmed fully if Tobias Reiss was Eka Darville under pseudonym to get around union stuff). Failing that, Jason Faunt (Wes)is going to be in Super Megaforce, so he could be the one to give it to them. Anyway, this makes sense and it's kinda like the Sentai in a way.

It is gonna take me awhile if ever hearing Troys voice come out of Gokai Red..and lets not even get into mannerisims.
And boy does the american legend war look tiny as all hell when compared to the sentai version atleast in the promo I am sure it will come off better when the actual episode airs.

The Red Jungle Fury Ranger at 19 seconds, he let himself go there. Well, the Sentai has 15 or so more teams so the battle is going to be much bigger.

The Red Jungle Fury Ranger at 19 seconds, he let himself go there. Well, the Sentai has 15 or so more teams so the battle is going to be much bigger. Yeah, the original Legendary War consisted of almost 200 rangers, but it also has to account for characters who have worn more than one suit, or suits worn by more than one character. So it is going to be vastly reduced. I don't even know if Anyone at Saban is keeping track of all of this stuff. Combined with some teams being set in the future (SPD) or alternate dimensions (RPM), It has the potential to be a bigger continuity headache than Forever Red (Which really only left the return of Jason & TJ's powers unexplained). With crossovers it's best to throw canon out of the window. As for fattie JF red... I'll just assume he was a stunt guy they hired for the day, just to make up the numbers rather than one of the stunt crew's usual guys. US suit actors tend not to be as svelte as the japanese lot though. Another thing that amuses me is Tommy's green ranger attire. It's pretty much the same one that appeared in the "Fighting Spirit" episode of Dino Thunder. The one that finally got the shield right, but with the silver stripe on the helmet. Jason David Frank has a Green Ranger suit that he wears for photo ops at conventions, with non-stripey helmet. Could they not have borrowed that off him, or got the one used on Gokaiger? It's a little thing that bugs me. I expect more original footage than usual for this, seeing as we now have a team with a sixth ranger from a different show. Unless they go the Tommy in MMPR season 1 route of him showing up late to battles via contrived coincidences. Oh, and Troy, Jake and co are STILL wearing the exact same civilian clothes as Megaforce. Would it kill them to expand the wardrobe a little?

Something else bugging me is that in pictures we have seen the GokaiGalleon but all these promos show the rangers remaining in the discount version command centre so I can only assume no staying on the Galleon which is gonna suck because discount command centre just looks terrible.

They might not have gotten Jason Smith but that's still the character Casey to me, damn it! And about the suits, they also skipped a Sentai team.

Well, Mr. Smith is showing up as a guest cameo, and is one of the writers of the season. Also, for those curious, here's episode descriptors for the first batch of fifteen: {Spoiler} 1. Super Megaforce Gosei presents the Rangers with new Morphers that unlock a Super Mega Mode, which will allow them to access the powers of every previous team of Power Rangers. 2. Earth Fights Back While the rest of the team works with the civilians to rebuild their city, Troy stumbles upon a plot by the Armada to launch missiles at major cities throughout the world. 3. Blue Saber Saga After being humiliated in battle by a master swordsman monster, Noah suffers a crisis of confidence and questions his worthiness as a Ranger. 4. A Lion’s Alliance Determined to strengthen their defense against the Armada, the Rangers head to a mystical airborne island named Animaria in search of the wild yet powerful Red Lion Zord. 5. Samurai Surprise When a powerful monster named Matacore is sent by the emperor to take on the Rangers, they face a challenge like never before. Luckily, help comes in the form of a mysterious Samurai visitor. 6. Spirit of the Tiger When the Rangers face a monster with a magnetic power to wrench their weapons away from them, Jake and Emma turn to quiet local Zoo Keeper named Casey to learn a special form of martial arts that helps them channel their personal animal spirits. 7. Silver Lining, Part 1 The Rangers are shocked and mystified when they discover the presence of a new Silver Ranger. Is this strange new visitor an ally or a foe? 8. Silver Lining, Part 2 Orion, the mysterious Silver Ranger, explains his past to Gosei and the Rangers and how he obtained the Silver Ranger Key. 9. Power of Six When his Ranger teammates are sidelined by an energy-sucking monster, Jake must put aside his jealousy of Orion and help him use the combined power of the past Sixth Rangers to defeat this terrible foe. 10. The Perfect Storm The Rangers are sidetracked from their fight against an invading monster when Tensou is struck by lightning, develops amnesia and wanders away from the Command Center. 11. Love Is In the Air When a love potion accidentally makes the evil Levira fall in love with Jake, a jealous alien targets him for destruction. 12. United as One When the Megazord is damaged in a fight against a monster who uses his staff to steal human’s happiness, Emma uses unconventional methods to defeat this unusual monster. 13. The Grass is Always Greener or Bluer Jake and Noah find themselves literally standing in each other’s shoes when a body-swapping monster named Tranceferer switches the two Rangers so that they are inhabiting each other’s body. 14. In the Driver’s Seat Lured away from Earth to investigate an emergency signal from Corinth, the Rangers discover they’ve been trapped in the alternate dimension by Professor Cog, who attacks Earth in their absence. Their only hope to get back home lies with the wild Turbo Falcon Zord, who they must tame in order to return to their dimension and save Earth. 15. All Hail Prince Vekar The Rangers finally battle the evil Prince Vekar face to face when he comes to Earth armed with his very own Megazord. Or have the "Gokaigers/Super Megaforce" start off as a separate team who test the Megaforce rangers and then bestow their suits, megazords and powers upon them once they passed the test. Hell you could even have said team be former rangers in a true passing the torch moment. This way they could have started off the season with a banging two parter using footage from the Gokaiger Vs Goseiger film.

I am hoping and it is very little hope but still hope that Gokai Shilvas arrival will have some sort of backstory to how Gosei got these damn keys in the first place like perhaps Silver came to earth to retrieve the Gokaiger powers for his team because the powers originally belonged to his team of "space pirates".
Because I have heard that Silvers origin in super megaforce is going to be a reverse of Gokai Silvers in that core 5 are from earth and Silver is going to be the alien.

Silver, according to the summaries I posted, is an alien named Orion.

So whose is everyone's favorite and least favorite disposable foot soldiers/grunts in Power Rangers?
My favorite would have to be the Rinshi from Jungle Fury, I like the whole Chinese ghost motif and this was I think the only time in history the name was unchanged from the Sentai adaptation.
Least favorite would have to Lord Zedd's putties yeah they had a strong debut...for about all of two seconds when the large Z on their chest was revealed to be their weak point then they became total jobbers.

My favorite foot soldiers are the Quantons they look awesome and were never amde out to be too pathetic.
Worst are the Piranhatrons. Even their theme songs talks about how much they suck:
