What's the consensus on ToQger? I watched the first few episodes, but couldn't keep up with it. Got a batch of the first 24 episodes, and plan on going through them, regardless. I'm just curious. There's stuff that happens that definitely improves the show - Akira/ToQ #6 is a fine 6th ranger. The reveal of more of the ToQGers' pasts, what happened to them, and why they were chosen also puts the show in a different light (More so than the "You're all as good as dead!" line early on). I think generally the opinion seems to be it's a little bland, if anything. I quite like it myself, but it was massively overshadowed to me by the awesomeness of Kamen Rider Gaim happening at the same time. A fun show though.

I am a huge fan of the series' head writer, Yasuko Kobayashi, who is also currently lead writer on the Garo anime that can be seen on Funination and Hulu.

So at what point should the ToQger/Gaim crossover be viewed?

I hope UK gets "ZyuRanger" on DVD or at least a Netflix release

I hope Zyu does well enough that they do others, not just sequential to what Power Rangers adapted, but some of the older ones as well.

I think if Zyuranger does well enough, Dairanger makes the most sense, if they push the White Ranger/Tommy thing. I want to see the Tommy Oliver fanboys seeing Kou/Kibaranger, and realising he's a 9-year old perv who touches up Rin all the time. It's a brilliant series anyway, so I'd love more people to see it. As for not going sequentially, maybe Go-Busters has some appeal as the "Lost" show. For pre-Zyu stuff, Jetman is a great one. I've just started Gekiranger, and I LOVE IT. A bit like Dairanger in that is reminds me of old Hong Kong action movies. I hope it's not too long until we get another out-and-out Martial Arts Sentai.

Liveman is another great pre-Zyu Sentai series. The first episode was pretty awesome. I started Kyoryuger, and it's pretty enjoyable so far. I watched all of Jetman, and it was a great series. Of all of the characters that got development, Gai had the best of it. Question: Why do Sentai/Power Rangers fans hate Go-Onger?

^ From what I understand, Go-Onger was one pretty goofy-ass series. It did, however, get adapted into the acclaimed Power Rangers RPM, which managed to overcome the goofy overtones of the source to do some things that nobody would expect from a PR series.

Good call on Gekirangers, I've seen the whole series and does stand out on as one of the good ones. The core cast is pretty good although Jan can be a little too much like young Goku at times, the antagonists actually have a bit of depth to them and you spend almost as much time on their journey as you do with the heroes, the Hong Kong martial arts references are numerous and awesome and lastly the most important reason of them all Miki Masaki...just Miki Masaki. People hate Go-Onger? First I'm hearing of that, personally I thought it was a pretty good series. Although I can see why people aren't into it, it is more over the top and comedic with its talking vehicles and parodies of the Japanese political system as opposed to RPM which is basically Terminator Salvation for kids. Also the 13 part transforming mecha was a little much.

I hated Go-Onger when it aired. Then RPM started, and I suddenly got a new appreciation for Go-Onger…
Have not seen it since it aired. Late last year and into this year I actually went through RPM for the second time on an episode by episode basis on Rangerboard. Just look up "Revisiting Power Rangers RPM" there.
I'm in the middle of doing one for Wild Force under "United We Roar: Another Look At Wild Force"

I have gotten all caught up on ToQger!
This series so far has been an absolute blast to watch. There's just a freshness to it because of how fun it has been, and the general silliness of the tone has only made the big dramatic moments even more impactful because of how rare they are in the grand scheme of things.
I was near tears with the revelations in episode 32, and I suspect that will not be the last time it happens this series. I mean, this is a Yasuko Kobayashi series. What was the last Sentai series she was head writer on that had a 100% happy ending? Gingaman?
With the revelations in episode 32, I just get the bad feeling that either none of the ToQgers will become their true selves again, or all but Right will.

I guess Daigo's actor didn't feel like wearing a wig so this is what we're going for, hopefully it will get an "OH MY" from Ian. Minor but relevant spoilers from the Kamen Rider: Showa X Heisei (Featuring Super Sentai) movie... {Spoiler}Also nice of the other Kyoryuger's to show up this time around unlike in the Kamen Rider: Showa X Heisei (Featuring Super Sentai) film. Yeah I can get that TOEI didn't want both teams together before their official team up flick, but it was kind of awkward to see Daigo fight without his team mates given his "We're a Sentai" mentality he had all throughout Kyoryuger. Also they wasted the dinosaur train gattai that would have been perfect for this cross over movie.

Crunchyroll is now streaming Ultraman LeoDammit, I'm so deep into other shows that I haven't even started on Max or Mebius! Pretty staggering that already Tsuburaya are already doing more for English-speaking Toku fans than Toei,or even the fansubbers! Ideally, Toei should also strike a deal with Crunchyroll to put some Sentai or Kamen Rider on there. Talking of Rider, I recently saw a trailer for the forthcoming Blu-Ray releases of Kamen Rider Black, and it looks stunning. Made me want to watch it all over again!

Talking of Kamen Rider Black, Kotaro Minami himself, Tetsuo Kurata, is returning next year! When I saw the designs etc for Drive, and saw the car, I was actually thinking a teamup movie with Black RX (the sequel to Black) would be a possibility. From what's being reported, this might just be a new Black RX movie, which I'm happy with!

Several new Garo projects in the pipelineMovies, one of which precedes a new TV season, more anime, and even a musical, because why the f**k not? It's the "Gold Storm" Movie & TV show that excites me most. I loved "The One Who Shines in the Darkness" and was hopeful to see more of that continuity and cast some day, and I've got my wish! It also means more of the lovely Miki Nanri on my screen: Also, longcoats & swords = Badass.

Looks like the offspring of the Shinkenger and Hurricaneger outfits.
Also if this is fact true this will be the first ninja based sentai with two ladies in the core five.

Holy crap I love those suit designs.
I really really hope this leads to an all Ninja team up like the Kyoryuger/Go Busters movie. Just picture and extended version of that Kakuranger Hurricaneger shot in the 199 battle.
