A few years ago, most PPVs would have one or more of these. One of the two main events at Mania would be a triple threat. Hell, there even was a whole Fatal Four-Way PPV. Why are they so rare now? I always liked them, even if it meant the third or fourth guy had to sell a clothesline for five minutes to let the other guys do their thing. It seems like six-man tag matches took their place these days.
So what do you think? Miss them? Don't miss them? Will they return? Should they?

I feel like WWE has a feast or famine attitude. There was a time when there were too many triple threats and fatal four ways, but now there's virtually none and I also miss them. But they do partially rely on WWE being able to write multi-faceted storylines that enable three or more characters to all interact.

The creative team are too busy jerking off to today's overplayed match crutch: The six man tag.

i actually liked the ECW three way dance better where both of the other guys in the match had to get pinned for someone to win it. most surprising one was when Taz was dropping the belt and facing mike Awesome and i forget the other guy, japnese guy Awesome fought with a lot- wrestled him at the oringinal One Night Stand. in a three way dance and the whole palce was stunned when taz got pinned first guarenteeing a new champ was going to be crowned.
of course that eliminates the whole easy storyline of "you may have won the triple threat to get the title but you didn;t beat me!" afterwards unless A was the champ, B pins A, and C pins B to win it. but then A still got pinned.

That Del Rio/Sheamus/Jericho/Orton from OtL 2012 was a well done 4-way feud, I recall.

I almost always enjoyed them. They don't need to have them be every match obviously, but it definitely helped to break up the repetitiveness of Raw and SD, something they're really grappling with right now.

I see nothin wrong with the six man tags. What I hate is that it starts out as a singles/tag match, and then shenanigans ensue and an authority figure turns it into a six man tag. To me that's just a waste of TV time. Even if the match is good, the wrestlers' talents are being misappropriated just to kill time.

The triple threat and fatal four way matches worked for a time when the roster was heavier, because it allowed for more stars to get tv time. The roster is actually smaller these days, so there is less reason for them.

The creative team are too busy jerking off to today's overplayed match crutch: The six man tag. It doesn't stop there. Off the top of my head, on any given RAW, there's: - A six man tag - Divas clusterf*** tag (most don't even get tagged in) - (prior to injury) Alberto Del Rio's 10PM Armbar-fest - Opening and closing Authority angle. That's RAW. Every week.

The creative team are too busy jerking off to today's overplayed match crutch: The six man tag. The six-man tags are far-FAR-better matches than fatal four ways and triple threats, which are cliched to the point of absurdity and hardly ever done well. It's true that they rely on 6 man tags a lot these days, but I see that as one of the positives of the current product.

I think I've seen about as many six man tags in the last couple years as I did the entire rest of my life up to that point.

I want to see the return of the Tornado Tag. Not sure why WWE is so scared of doing these. It was (in various variations) the bread and butter of what the Hardyz and E&C did in the Attitude Era.

It's probably the fact that it became a meme with Teddy Long that the WWE decided that's what the fans liked to see, so they kept doing it.

I would like an angle where there's 3 or more guys contending for the WWEWH title.
...But who am I kidding... It's Cena vs. [insert paper champion here] for the title every month.

Since Big Dave is back, three ways and fatal 4 ways will make their return. We're talking about wrestling matches and not Batista's Divas romps?

I've been wondering where they went too. I wish the unification match would've been Cena/Orton/Bryan and Punk or Big Show last month. Seemed like a perfect opportunity for it that would've made everyone happy and tied up loose ends. Instead, we got two ridiculous handicap matches.
All these 6 man tags remind me of puroreso.
