Is it just me or have these 2 chants been diluted.
Every main event seems to get a "this is awesome" chant now, even when they're slow prodding boring matches. I think this year there has been maybe 3 or 4 matches deserving of it, yet every week that chant seems to happen.
And tonight Too Cool got a "you still got it chant" before they'd even really done anything and that's not a knock on Too Cool, they put in a great performance and I marked out for them more than anyone else on the show, it's a knock on how quick fans are to use that chant.
Edit Worded the too cool bit a bit better so it doesn't sound like I'm saying they didn't deserve the chant which isn't what I meant, my issue was more with the timing of it.

Scotty 2 Hotty did the worm perfectly, which is the only "it" that he ever could have lost. So I think "you still got it" accurately applies to him.

It is overplayed a bit, sure. That's what happens with chants. It is what it is.

It was so good seeing the worm again. I was bouncing during it (made me mark out much more than Jake as I have no nostalgic attachment to Jake Roberts but I grew up watching too cool) But the chant started well before The Worm when no one had really done much of anything in the match

Definitely feels like people hearing the chants at oton TV and wanting to do them live, so when they get the smallest opening THIS IS AWESOME OMG. Punk/Reigns got pretty good in the last few minutes, but in no way was that chant warranted.
"You Still Got It" is just annoying to me, and doesn't ever need to happen. It reminds me of that awful song "I'm still havin' fun, and you're still the one". Like, even just saying that is indicative that maybe things aren't that fun, and you might not be the one anymore.

I sounded funny tonight because they were chanting it while 3MB was on offense against Scotty 2 Hotty. By the time Scotty got back on offense the chant died down.

Scotty 2 Hotty did quite well considering he hasn't wrestled in years. Plus dude is in great shape and hasn't aged a bit

And he seems like one of the nicest most humble wrestlers ever based on the interview he did with Colt Cabana

Just like most things from the indies, these chants became diluted as soon as they entered the wwe.

I loved Jericho getting "You've still got it" chants at last year's Royal Rumble, when he'd only been gone for like six months.

The other week on NXT when William Regal faced Antonio Cesaro, he got 'you still got it' chants literally 90 seconds into the match. Jesus, they could at least wait a bit before making that claim.

I hate Cole acknowledging the "this is awesome" chants for some reason.

Yeah people who go to live shows shouldn't have fun. They shouldn't mark for a nostalgia act on an old school show. They should shut their holes and know their roles and sit with quiet respect.
Jeez.

At least they're positive chants. I'll take those chants any day over "BORING", "GOLDBERG", "ALBERT" etc. or dead silence any day of the week.

No, they should be using their phones to tweet that it's taking time away from either an undercard act like like Zack Ryder, or from an NXT talent that should have been called up (Zayn? Neville? KRUUUUUUUGAAAAAAH?).
