I really enjoyed that honestly. Yeah, the speeches were pretty long. But you know what, they deserved to go long. It was their moment. Who knows if they'd get a moment like that again. I can only imagine what Taker's acceptance speech will be like when we get there. Whether he won't say much, or just spill it all out because he's had to be in character essentially for almost a quarter of a century. I've always said it will be a low-key, 10 minute speech because I think him never saying much or making many appearances also has to do with his natural personality and not just his gimmick. I mean, how many appearances did he make when he was the American Badass? I remember a few for TSN in Canada and one for America's Most Wanted.

Both DDP and Jake following were outstanding.
I said it earlier but that whole Jake bit changes how Beyond the Mat plays out.
If you aren't the type to be touched by Jake's story you're not the kind of person I wanna know.

Here are some questions for tonight: 1. Will all 5 members of the Kliq be on stage together tonight? 2. How much will this ceremony feel like a giant plug for DDP Yoga? 3. Will Carlos Colon get any boos or perhaps 'Bruiser Brody!' chants? 4. Will Ultimate Warrior say anything remotely anti-gay? 5. Will Undertaker make an appearance as Paul Bearer is inducted? The answers: 1. Yes. Nash inducted Razor. Then Michaels, Waltman, Nash, and Triple H came out to celebrate. 2. Not too much at all. I believe Warrior was the only one to actually mention DDPYoga by name. 3. There were no audible boos or chants for Brody. 4. No. 5. Yes. Undertaker came out after Bill Moody's sons gave their speech.

It was kind of weird for Hogan to be sitting 10 feet away from Warrior and Warrior barely acknowledged him. Would have liked to hear a little something about their WrestleMania match.

I say Mr.T was trolling them for waiting so long to induct him. "Put Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame before me? I'll show them!" To be fair to Mr T I doubt he gets any awards or recognition for much of any thing at this point in his career. He seemed geniuenly excited and humbled to be there (look at his twitter feed for the last month, all he talks about is wrestling and how excited he is to be going in the hall of fame and how proud he is of his speech). I bet he had a hell of alot more written than what we heard, I dread to think of how long it would have gone on, but at the same time a small part of me is sad we'll miss out on the entertainment value of him going hours and hours with his speech.

That was an incredible show. I hope I enjoy Mania half as much.

Yes, but I'd recommend packing a lunch before you do.

Jake, Warrior and Kane's induction of Bearer without a doubt. Hall was okay but sadly cut short. Skip the rest.

Carlito was kind of annoying, IMO. He acted like he was entitled to be as bitter as it gets.

It was their moment. 100% agree but I don't want to sound like I'm defending WWE's decision to cut speeches off, but there so many little intricate things that go into time length. Pretty sure they rent out the arena they are at for a length amount of time and probably when they go over board they have to shell out even more money, not to mention the stage crew that have to take things down and then work the next morning at Mania, and also the talent need rest for the next night. Again, not disagreeing here but keeping the speeches shorter and to the point definitely has to be enforced next year (which will probably be broken anyway).

Then again, I've seen him crack the same jokes on Twitter and other place for the last 3 years, someone not having seen that side I could see them seeing it differently. Other than the talent having to work tomorrow, they don't have to worry about any of that. Outside of last year, they typically hold the Hall in the same building as the post Mania RAW and just rent the whole thing for those three days. They even went to using the RAW stage to cut down on the amount of work put in.

I don't follow him on twitter or anything else and likewise it came off as self deprecating humor to me. I still don't want him back on my TV tho. I'm fine with closing my book on him with that bit tonight.

Well, overall it was a good show. I was sad that Scott Hall didn't have a lengthy speech, but it didn't really seem like his style. I did love seeing him do the walk and the toothpick bit, though. Jake was the most real thing I've ever seen on WWE TV, and it made me tear up a bit. Warrior was borderline uncomfortable at times, because he kept circling back to the Self Destruction DVD.
Oh, and Undertaker appearing in full gimmick was idiotic. He broke character for a f***ing Triple H documentary DVD, but he can't say some words about the guy who did so much for his character? I know it was likely not his choice, but still, it's dumb. I'd really have liked to hear Taker say a few words about the guy.

I thought it was a great show. I absolutely hated what they did to Mr. T though. I know his speech rambled, had no relevance to the WWE, and wasn't very interesting but playing Kane's music to end his speech was cold-hearted. I would have preferred them to just send Kane out to talk to him but playing his entrance theme while T was mid sentence really bothered me. Mr. T slowly walking away repeating "i'm sorry" was an extremely sad visual.
