I found out Rico retired a few years back. I really loved his gimmick at the time and had no clue how old he was. He was the 2000s version of Goldust on a smaller scale with the potential to be more. I first saw this thread when you commented on it, and read it as "People who you feel retired too soon: Dolph Ziggler". I really hope his concussion doesn't force him to retire.

To be honest, I'm worried about him but if he has to retire, least it would be for the best. I'm keeping the username regardless.

I don't know if Brent Albright will ever come back, unless he's just wrestling somewhere really obscure but I thought he could've been something. I'll throw Paul Burchill in there too.

God. If Bret Hart could come back from a groin injury the likes of which you've never seen, so could the Almighty.

Although it wasn't a choice of his - Edge.
It's very easy to add most of the divas to this thread as well: Eve and Beth Phoenix being the top examples.
It's hard to say if Goldberg retired too soon or not. He really accomplished a lot & I'm pretty sure he hit his peak as a wrestler; there wasn't much left for him to do in wrestling to be honest. He's not someone who I wanted to see stick around WWE for years past his prime winning championships - see Cena, John & H, Triple.
My answer would be Lashley. I feel he was just getting better when he left the WWE (I don't really count his time in TNA as he really did nothing). He had a program set up with Kennedy and was coming off a great WWE Title match with Cena; he had years left in his career & it's a huge shame that he decided to leave & follow an MMA career that never really spanned out.

In a weird way, Edge if he could have only gone on for 1 more month.
He definiately had one hell of a career and needed to end it around that time. But I'm sure he would have liked one last run with Christian, rather than having to retire on the spot with barely any notice.

I'll agree with Marcus Cor Von/Monty Brown. I genuinely thought they'd put him on Raw/Smackdown and give him a title run, he was awesome on the mic and pretty damn amazing in the ring.

Waylon Mercy. I know he was around for a while before in WCW/NWA as Dan Spivey, but he and his character were around for just a sip of coffee in the WWF. Clearly, he character was a lot of the inspiration for Bray Wyatt.

Does this just include former WWE wrestlers? Because I would say Magnum TA, not that he had a choice. That was my answer, too. He would have been an all-time-great, just based on his cage match with Tully Blanchard alone.

Chris Nowinski. But as unfortunate as his circumstances were, he has contributed significantly by improving concussion awareness throughout all sports. So it all worked out.
