I walked through the toy aisle of a store, not a thrift store, (more a Big Lots type, so not necessarily brand new inventory but still relatively recent stuff, definitely not anything like 16 year old inventory.) I didn't buy it since it was $10, and I felt like that would be a waste of $10, but still really weird to see a Sable/Mero toy still on sale in 2014.

And the card's entirely in English, no less. Great find, looks like it was stocked on January 10th too, so it much have been something randomly found in storage or acquired from a recent liquidation.
Always liked that Marc Mero figure as a kid. His had was perfectly shaped for chokeslams.

I've been to Big Lots type stores, and I think I've seen old toys like this.

In no way is that a waste of $10.

There are still occasional remainder-type stores like that you can still find the pre-Toy Biz WCW figures if you look around hard enough.

My first reaction would be to pass on that, but with that bonus display base included, it'd be hard to turn down.

It's not even going for $10 on eBay. Weird find, but not worth $10 unless you were a fan of either.

Dude, you should of bought it. I mean if you see 1990's wrestling merchandise for sale in 2014 it's kind of an obligation.

A friend that manages a Dollar General in 2004 found 2 entire cases of ECW figures from San Franciso toymakers company. He put one case out at $3 a figure. And sold me the other case cheap. He was always finding old toys back in their storage area.

In the mid 2000's (2004-2005) I would find WCW items in my city (Which is a regional city)
It's very strange to see a 1990's action figure being sold in 2014 though. I haven't seen anything I'd classify as "old" for years.

Sable's toy still has less plastic in it than the real thing

Best I ever do is finding random WCW cards in trading card vending machines

I was at a closeout store that had a Stephanie McMahon figure from 2000 on the shelves, this was around 2006 IIRC.

I would have tried to haggle for it. lol This site is awesome. I've been on it for the last 30 minutes and I don't expect to leave anytime soon. The site is fantastic, kind of reminds me of I-Mockery before it slowed down, only with weirder shit Matt finds.
