I was 12 at the time. My birthday is on February 19th and my mum and dad got me tickets that year to my complete shock and surprise. I went with my dad. Eddie's Frog Splash was truly a thing of beauty and will be one of the most magnificent sights I will see to the day I die. For a kid who wasn't enjoying his school life at all due to bullying and was just about to transition to another school later the same year it was the night that truly showed why I needed to hang onto wrestling as it was one of the only things that was getting me through a tough time all the way through childhood (along with my family). I remember taking photos of it all, but because it wasn't a digital camera and instead one of those disposable crappy one's none of pictures came out well at all , so I just decided to throw them away.

I know it was on Apr. 26, 1988. It was a WWF show at High School North in Toms River, NJ for a C show. It was a C show because two other shows were running on the same day. I still have the poster for the show. I can't find the results anywhere. I remember the first match was Outback Jack over Conquistador #1 who was Jose Luis Rivera because he also lost to Joe LeDuc later on. We saw S.D. Jones leaving through the crowd but he never wrestled. Sam Houston fought Danny Davis. I think he won. The Young Stallions fought the Bolsheviks. I know there was a ladies match with Velvet McIntyre. The main event was advertised as George Steele vs Jim Neidhart but they both no showed. The semi became the main event which was Junk Yard Dog over Ron Bass. Pedro Morales was the agent for the show and he was yelling "No pictures" at us. We didn't even have a camera. I was so young that I didn't even know who he was. Lol.

The first one I remember was a GCCW show from 1986.
The main event was a tag match with Uncle Elmer and some other guy vs two local heels.
Then 2 years later I hit a WWF house show with the main event of IC champ Rick Rude vs Warrior. But the stand out match was when Barry Horowitz beat Boris Zukoff.

I clearly remember getting tickets for this event in my stocking on Christmas Day for the event 3 days later. A stand out memory in my childhood.
WWF @ Omaha, NE - Civic Auditorium - December 28, 1986 (8,700) Special Feature Midget Match: Karate Kid & Little Coco defeated Little Tokyo & Lord Littlebrook Scott McGhee defeated Barry O Stoney Burke defeated Jack Kruger Bob Orton Jr. defeaed Sivi Afi Tito Santana defeated Butch Reed via disqualification King Kong Bundy pinned Hillbilly Jim Don Muraco fought Billy Jack Haynes to a draw Ricky Steamboat defeated WWF IC Champion Randy Savage via count-out
I was so excited because the original card was Andre vs Savage, but Andre gave his match up to Steamboat so he could get revenge from the throat injury. I was disappointed, but it was an awesome show anyhow. Another great memory about this show, is when we were walking up to the arena and a taxi cab went by with King Kong Bundy in the back seat...... the whole back seat. He filled that thing up and did not look amused.

Virgil won a battle royal; other participants included: Jim Duggan, Kerry Von Erich, Tugboat, Davey Boy Smith, WWF Tag Team Champions Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart, Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty, Dino Bravo, Ted Dibiase, Gen. Adnan, the Warlord, the Undertaker, Earthquake, Kato, Mr. Fuji, & Koko B. Ware I missed this one earlier but is anyone else amazed that Virgil holds victories over guys like Davey Boy Smith, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker?

I couldn't give you an exact card, but it was Texas All-Star Wrestling held on May 4, 1986 at Gilley's in Pasadena, Texas. The only person my memory is absolutely sure was there was Sheepherder Jonathan Boyd, but given who the usual crew was at the time, the card most likely consisted of Cowboy Scott Casey, Big Bubba (Fred Ottman), Mike Golden, Al Madril, Al Gavigan, Billy Joe Travis.

Not for the time, it was after Virgil turned on DiBiase. He was over like rover during that period up till past SummerSlam.

WWF @ Providence, RI - Civic Center - February 4, 1989 (6,500) Jim Powers defeated the Conquistador Rick Rude pinned Pete Doherty WWF IC Champion the Ultimate Warrior pinned Ted Dibiase at 1:43 with a cradle after fighting off an interfering Virgil Andre the Giant defeated Jake Roberts via disqualification Mr. Perfect pinned the Blue Blazer at 17:37 with the Perfect Plex Greg Valentine pinned Jim Neidhart Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard defeated Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty
A few things I remember. We sat right next to the top of the entranceway. I was 12 at the time and had no concept about how big these wrestlers were until then. Even guys like Jim Powers who I thought were just the size of average people turned out to be HUGE!!! Never mind Andre.
My dad, who never watched wrestling, got a huge kick out of Pete Doherty. Both for being "The Duke of Dorchester" and acting like a crazed hobo in the ring.
After his match Jake Roberts demanded that Andre The Giant "get his fat ass back out here." This surprised me because I didn't think wrestlers were allowed to swear.
And still my favorite memory. Ted DiBiase hands the Warrior a blank check and tells him to "fill in an amount, lie down and everyone goes home happy." Warrior stares at DiBiase, smiles and start EATING THE CHECK! Enraged, DiBiase sends Virgil after the Warrior. Warrior spits the check out at Virgil who goes down as if the spitball was a gunshot. Warrior then pins DiBiase.

Hello all! First post My first wrestling show was the SmackDown WrestleMania Revenge Tour (Glasgow, Scotland - March 21st 2004) Orlando Jordan defeated Chuck Palumbo The World's Greatest Tag Team defeated Hardcore Holly & Billy Gunn Billy Kidman defeated Bradshaw Jamie Noble (blindfolded) defeated Nidia Fit Finlay defeated Jamie Noble in an impromptu match WWE United States Champion John Cena defeated Rhyno to retain WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. and Nunzio in a Triple Threat Elimination Match to retain WWE Tag Team Champions Rikishi & Scotty Too Hotty defeated Basham Brothers to retain Torrie Wilson defeated Dawn Marie WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero defeated Big Show to retain I've been to many shows since but I'll always remember this one for a few things: the show started at 2pm; the albeit brief Finlay vs. Noble match (almost two years before he became a full-time wrestler again); the last time Haas and Benjamin teamed up before they were split up in the draft on Raw the next night; and Paul Heyman telling us that the US title match would air on SmackDown (which it never did haha!)

TWC International Showdown - 19th May 2005 in Coventry
Petey Williams def. Chris Sabin, Jonny Storm and Spud Steve Grey def. Mal Sanders in a World of Sport rules match Apter's Alley interview segment with Bill Apter, Greg Lambert, Alex Shane and Mick Foley. Samoa Joe def. CM Punk Doug Williams, Scorpio and James Tighe def. Mitsuhara Misawa, Yoshinari Ogawa and Tiger Emperor Raven def. Alex Shane in a Raven's Rules match TNA X Division Champion Christopher Daniels def. AJ Styles to retain.
Pretty awesome card all over really. I remember loving the main event especially and in retrospect I'm damn chuffed with having gotten to see Misawa live. Mick Foley did a Q&A beforehand which was pretty awesome too. Only downside was the fact that my Mum (who was not a wrestling fan) drove me to the event from our home in London and spent the day just milling around Coventry about 3 days after she'd found out my Dad had been having an affair for the past year. So yeah, very awkward in that respect but the show itself was awesome.
