ESPN's Adam Schefter writes that the Rams chances of trading the No. 2 pick are "not as good as the team would like."

I'll have a go at predicting Denver's record:
vs. Indy - The emotion from Peyton facing his old team is gone and there is no homecoming crap since they're playing a mile high: Broncos win.
vs. Kansas City - We exposed them last year and this year will be no different: Broncos win.
@ Seattle - Much closer than the Superbowl but the 12th Man wins out: Seahawks win.
BYE
vs. Arizona - 'Zona is tough but they cannot overcome Manning and Co. in Denver: Broncos win.
@ New York - Cross country trap game against a coach that is pretty good against Peyton: Jets win.
vs. San Fran - They honestly don't scare me. Too much turmoil on their end and I don't see the playmakers to overcome Denver: Denver wins
vs. San Diego - Thurs. game following 2 tough games. Much like last year, we tire out and get taken down: San Diego wins.
@ New England - Interesting game and the fact it is in NE again makes me shake my head. 10 days rest and prep. makes me hopeful: Broncos win.
@ Oakland - Be a nice off week: Broncos win.
@ St. Louis - Another trap game and the 3rd in a row on the row with a cross country trip. Close game but Stl. takes it at home: St. Louis wins.
vs. Miami Dolphins - An absolute slaughter against a team I expect to be reeling from a midseason coaching change: Broncos win.
@ Kansas City - Again, I see nothing in this Chiefs team that makes me think they'll be able to take down Peyton and Co.: Broncos win.
@ Buffalo - Yeah, maybe in 3 year but not now: Broncos win.
@ San Diego - Tired Broncos team that is ripe to be picked off in the season series but I'm not sure Rivers will hold up this late in the season: Broncos win.
@ Cincinnati - This one all depends on the playoff seeding. I think both teams stand a chance to be locked into a 1 or 2 slot but I can see this game deciding that. At home and with a tired Broncos team because of the early bye, we go down: Cincinnati wins.
vs. Oakland - Finally another bye week: Broncos win.
So we are at 11-5 and I'll wager the 2 seed in the AFC Playoffs.

I've got the feeling that SF and Denver are both going to fall off something fierce this season. I foresee the Cardinals taking that next step this season.

You'd assume eventually Manning has to fall off, Im not sure if it's this year or if he does it'll knock Denver down enough to "fall back something fierce" maybe a game or two tops. Even with the improvements to defense, the team is Peyton and they'll live and die by him. 49ers, I dunno tell me what works out with the Smith and Kaepernick issues, and is Lattimore going to do something? because Gore didn't fall back as much as I thought last season, but theres only so mych of a beating a RB can take over seasons.

Going to wait until end of pre-season as usual before making my predictions. Just too much can happen over the next 4 months

If the FO didn't put as much focus on defense as they did (with the draft still left to go, no less) I might agree with you, but I don't foresee a huge drop-off next season for us or San Fran. When Manning retires, sure, but the FO finally decided to treat defense like it matters and I can't see our offseason moves hurting us.

My prediction on Dallas' year. 8-8. Until I see different, I don't expect any different.

Also, I read that Jerry Jones is pushing hard to draft Johnny Manziel. I am actually okay with this, because why the f*** not?

Oh, I really doubt Manziel is going to be there by the time the Cowboys make their pick. Jones even suggesting that is interesting because it's first time in a while he hasn't been behind Romo.

Bears go 10-6 this year, maybe 11-5.

Jets go 4-12. Weeks 2-7 will be all losses and will lead to dramatic changes everywhere.

I like that the Colts start the season at Denver. I expected that, though I figured it would be only if the Broncos, you know, showed up at the Super Bowl?

I don't think he'll be there at 16 (again, I think Jax takes him) but it is not out of the realm of possibility with how a lot of people view this QB class. Even then, this is Jerry Jones we're talking about, him throwing away a nice chunk of this draft for one player wouldn't shock me either.

If the Giants can make it out of November with a .500 record, I think they'll make the playoffs. That November is insane.

When Manning retires, sure, but the FO finally decided to treat defense like it matters and I can't see our offseason moves hurting us. Denver has the benefit of playing in a questionable division for sure, but I still see them dropping off to the 10-6 area. So while it's not a huge drop it's still a decline. They have made some moves defensively but it remains to be seen how well those players gel on the field. I just have the feeling that last season was their big chance and Peyton is going to start showing his age as the Seahawks showed a pretty good blueprint for rendering him mostly ineffective. I of course could be wrong, but that's what I'm feeling right now. As for SF, I think that there are too many off the field questions and they're going to be overtaken by the Cardinals. I feel like even Seattle will fall back a little this season. All of that said, the only thing that I'm sure of is that my beloved Redskins will be firmly in control of last place in the NFC East.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen stated on SportsCenter Friday that he's "heard more than twice" the 49ers could be "ready to do something big" in May's draft.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports the Saints are undecided on whether to pick up Mark Ingram's fifth-year option for 2015.
