Yes. I prefer listening to an entire album at once and treating it as one piece.
I've just started using Spotify, had a subscription for a while, but its taken alot to break my habit of pirating all my mp3's. discovered some great stuff on there.
Just need to buy myself a smart phone so I can use Spotify out and about instead of relying on my Ipod Classic.
And I buy music on Vinyl but have had to scale back due to being between jobs at the moment

There's one group that I have bought not one, but two albums from, because I have met and hung out with them, otherwise, I haven't bought or downloaded a new album in years.
I have tons of old albums I haven't listened to all the way through, so I sometimes get around to it

A mixture, generally speaking I like listening to full albums though because each album can be taken as an artist's personal statement. Even if it's just to make catchy songs, full albums are almost like art pieces in a way.

Thanks to Spotify I listen to full albums all the time and if I like it enough I'll try to find it on CD and buy it.

I still buy albums, but as far as listening goes it depends entirely on the album.

Yes. It's time for the monthly "I wonder if I'm getting old" thread. With streaming media, playlists and ability to buy only the good song on iTunes getting more popular I'm wondering if people here consume their music in "albums"(physical or not) or whether everything is in randomized playlists of maybe you crazy kids even use those services which feed songs solely based on other songs you have liked. I do sometimes. It depends on if I like every song on the album.

For sure. Always been an album guy. Lately I have been into making playlists, but I'm already tired of it and getting back to album listening. Albums are like movies or books, even the non-concept ones often have a unified theme and sound and I like to dive into them and get in that mood. I'm right in the middle of The College Dropout right now, as a matter of fact.

Ansolutely I do. I generally only listen to new albums from bands I love (admittedly that's quite a lot) but I feel I'm doing them and myself a disservice by not listening to the whole album. How am I to know what new songs I'm gonna like if I don't listen to the full thing? And yeah, if I'm listening to music while I work or just to chill out, it's usually a full album I put on so I'm not having to pick and choose what I want.

I listen to albums all the way through all the time. I have a fairly large CD collection.

I don't listen to an album all the way through, no. But I do still buy albums and do enjoy when something works well as a complete project.

Depends on mood. Sometimes I want to listen to albums, so I do. Sometimes I want playlists, so I listen to them. Sometimes I want an album but don't know which one so I listen to a playlist of EVERYTHING I have on shuffle and then I find what I want.

I'll generally listen to the album a few times before it gets confined to the great playlist shuffle with everything else. If the mood grabs me, I'll revisit it
