I like Pokemon. I like Tekken. I like the idea of a Pokemon-based fighting game. But I don't like this at all. I wish Nintendo would do more in the way of just recycling themselves - would anyone at all actually prefer this over an all-Pokemon Smash Bros. rehash? Anyone? Also, stop whoring out Pokemon. I love Conquest and I'm really hoping for a sequel one of these days, but they're crossing it over with everything lately.

This was that Pokken Fighters deal that I heard about earlier this year, wasn't it?

I do notice of the four characters we know so far - Lucario, Heracross, Blaziken, and Machamp - Machamp's the only one of them without a Mega Evolution.

At the very least that is some sexy HD graphics of Mega Heracross and Mega Lucario. So assuming those two are in it and knowing from the leaked image that Blaziken is in it, it's pretty much just gonna be Fighting-types isn't it? I'd be cool with that. A fighting game with Fighting Pokemon. Just picture it. Hawlucha as a El Fuerte/Vega knock off, Hariyama as an E. Honda knock off, etc. It'd be interesting if we got a few unusual choices, too. If this were Street Fighter-based, I could see Mr. Mime putting up Urien-like shields, but obviously, that'd be damn out of place here. Someone like Electivire would fit, though, being humanoid-shaped.

From watching other videos, setting up new moves is done in the map, much like how TMs are. I think. The Touhoumons gain PP after battle, and I guess that's what it's used for. Also, XP gain only happens after the battle is completely over, it seems.
Also, from what I saw, you have to KO a Touhoumon before catching them. You throw the equivalent of a pokeball first, and if it's a success, you can go and KO them. Or something.

Touhou games have a lot of love put into them, I know that, but it's always surprising to me, the sheer output. Pokemon lends itself well to fan projects, I guess. I'm almost surprised we don't see more, like a wrestler based one. "Husky Harris evolved into Bray Wyatt!"

So the final boss should be ... a Psychic type, Mega Alakazam will school you all On a more serious note I'd love to see them include an oddball pokemon just for giggles like Electrode or Drifloon.

Got my first Japanese 'mon via the GTS. It was a bold Chikorita. All I need to do is evolve it to Meganium, and I'll have the complete Johto starter families on my Pokedex.

I have a weirdly high amount of GTS Japanese pokemon. I seem to get foreign ones more than US pokemon, since I also have Italian, German, Spanish, etc, from what I recall.

Attempting a Wonderlocke in X. Current team (Until I rename them at the Name Rater if I can)
Lvl 11 Growlithe. Current Moveset: Roar, Close Combat, Crunch, Heat Wave
Lvl 10 Inkay. Current Moveset: Peck, Foul Play, Destiny Bond, Reflect
Lvl 10 Scyther. Current Moveset: Vaccum Wave, Quick Attack, Pursuit, Night Slash
Lvl 10 Pancham. Current Moveset: Tackle, Leer, Arm Thrust, Work Up
Lvl 19 Eevee. Current Moveset: Baby-Doll Eyes, Swift, Quick Attack, Bite (My Current Switch out if I need something to tank a hit)
Needless to say, Wonder Trade has been oh so kind to me for this Wonderlocke, got Growlithe in place of my Starter, and Inkay right after. Growlithe, Inkay, and Scyther all came at Level 1 and with those sets. Can't say I'm complaining, and and it's been rolling since.
This is loads of fun, glad I'm trying it!
Closest Scare so far: Damn Countering Riolu hitting my Inkay damn near to death...

Closest Scare so far: Damn Countering Riolu hitting my Inkay damn near to death... Your entire team is damn near perfect (each is a favorite of mine). You lucked out on having both Inkay and Pancham on your team, you have a Pangoro to look forward to now. I was thinking of starting my first Wonderlocke too when I eventually buy X (I don't want to restart my Y). I think it's a way better concept than the Nuzlocke, as each Wonderlocke run can be something completely random every time, instead of the same, handful of Pokemon that roam each area. When I do, I hope to get a team as great as that one.

A Wonderlocke is like a Randomizer without the Heart Attack. You can still catch weak pokemon with good catch rates on routes instead of fearing having to run into a legendary early on in your Journey, like Natewantstobattle did. On top of it smashing your team you only got a handful of pokeballs at that point so it's damn near impossible.

I'm too chicken to try any of the 'lockes, mostly because I'm not into the "lose once and its over" concept. Though I'm usually the kind of gamer who likes his New Game+ to carry over experience but not more challenges so I can enjoy the story.
I personally play the game regularly, and when I'm done, I don't delete my save, instead relishing in my accomplishments.
Anybody else play this way?
