that one sea route in the bottom corner is going to be the bane of my game again, I hated that in the original version and probably will this time if I cant trade over without the pokebank.

Just making fun of IGN's review... Eh, honestly there being too much water was a big issue I took with the original games when I got around to playing Sapphire. I just don't find Hoenn to have an at all fun or memorable layout and water routes are always annoying.

To make it a major point of the review is nitpicking at its finest.

They haven't condensed the water bits, then? That's kinda disappointing. So much of it felt vast for the sake of being vast in the original. I get it. Harsh terrains and expansive waters, echoing the legends, but just, jeepers, I have finished R/S/E more times than I care to even guess and still now, all these years later, find the water sometimes perplexing and a slog.

I'm kind of torn on that. I want them to be real mostly for there to be some unannounced ones (besides Hoopa) given the evidence isn't looking like there are and I think the selection we have is largely very weak, but I don't really like any of those three Pokemon or those designs.

I sorta wish they're real, just in that all three pokemon could use the boost. That said, I am hesitant to buy them as real as of yet, with just blurry pictures.
Mega Claydol, in particular, would be good, with some useful resistances and giving another option for a strong Rapid Spin user.

Rayquaza can Mega Evolve without an item, therefore leaving it free to hold an item. Combine that with its ability and being tied for having the highest stats in the series... Yeah, Mega Rayquaza is ludicrously banned. It's banned into the next dimension.

Yeah, Mega Rayquaza is ludicrously banned. It's banned into the next dimension. Yeah, that's OP like I've never seen. And this is just the stats; we haven't even explored how it will function in the Deoxys battle (besides obvious space transportation). Don't care. Love Rayquaza.

Shit was fun, like the rental place and the one place where your pokemon battle by themselves based on their personalities. I heard it is not in this game and might be dlc.

It was of course going to be in Ubers, either way, so, neat!

I think I'll just go ahead with this stupid idea I had for my team because I really don't want to do anything else and I do think this would be fun - three member team, nothing more outside of when I need HMs, consisting of Manectric, Granbull, and Arcanine. Obvious source of inspiration there, though I'm not decided on a stipulation I'm considering that any time one particular one of them is used for a doubles or triples battle it exclusively attacks the other ones.
