Two Pikachus, but no Raichu? Shame shame It's Pikachu, of course it's gonna get special treatment. Same reason why Charizard is the only Kanto starter that has 2 different Mega Evolutions. And it's LuchaChu, so I'll take it, especially with that rad pose in its intro, reminds me of Seth from Street Fighter when he performs his Tanden Typhoon. Game looks fun. Too bad I don't own a Wii U.

I finally scored a copy of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire two days ago and am planning on starting to play it whenever I get the chance.

And now, for no real reason, here's a bunch of Pikachus dancing to I Don’t Like It, I Love It:

Two things. One, been thinking of restarting either X or ORAS soon (not decided which) and randomed up a team for it - Cacture, Aromatisse, Nidoking, Omastar, Hydreigon, and Hypno. Though been wondering about instead doing a Nuzlocke run, though be dumping the fallen Pokemon in the Bank instead of releasing them.
Two, random question but what's everyone's favorite starter family in ach generation? Mine'd be Squirtle (though don't really like Blastoise that much; honestly not big on any of the Gen 1 final forms really), Chikorita, Torchic (though only really like it and not particularly its evolutions; in general think the Gen 3 starters are just all-around bad), Piplup, Snivy, and Chespin.

Im doing X again too, started as a Wonderlocke but I abandoned it because I like my team too much and they're kinda fragile but Ive grown close to them, nicknamed it #TeamTank because they're a very chunky team
Marowak (Bone Rush, Power-Up Punch, Bonemarang, Perish Song) Miltank (Power-Up Punch, Body Slam, Milk Drink, Zen Headbutt) Blissey (Light Screen, Soft-boiled, Counter, Seismic Toss) Azumarill (Hydro Pump, Play Rough, Aqua Ring, Surf) Mismagius (Power Gem, Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Confuse Ray) Probably the team MVP at this moment Ariados (Megahorn, Poison Jab, Toxic Spikes, Sucker Punch)
I never really used any of these as an actual team member in any gen and that's why I like doing random runs, because I connect to Pokémon I never really did before, and it's nice
As for your starter question
Gen 1: Bulbasaur Gen 2: Totodile Gen 3: Treeko Gen 4: Turtwig Gen 5: Snivy Gen 6: Froakie
(Damn I have a thing against Fire Types I guess... Blaziken is great though if a bit of a glass mega cannon)

Yeah, I prefer to use teams consisting entirely of things I've either never used before or haven't in a long time. Like my current X team having things like Clefaable, Parasect, and Dragalge; up until they come up via randoming I never would've directly opted to use them but I've been liking how it's working out. Though I was sold on that particular random team when one of the things that came up on it was Gastrodon; one of my absolute favorites but had never actually used one.

I'm not into Nuzlockes, so my Alpha Sapphire run will be the same ol' run I always do.
As for favorite starters:
Gen 1: Charmander Gen 2: Totodile Gen 3: Treecko Gen 4: Turtwig Gen 5: Snivy Gen 6: Chespin
So, four Grass types.

Though I was sold on that particular random team when one of the things that came up on it was Gastrodon; one of my absolute favorites but had never actually used one. Yeah, and I never really used any of my starters, but I have learned exactly how deadly a Counter holding Blissey is, and I know why Whitney loves Miltank because the thing is a monster... You get a Power Up Punch or two up with a stab Body Slam and it's not pretty, and then there is Zen Headbutt with a chance to flinch.
Ariados is a Bug I never ever used, I got a random Spinarak that already had Megahorn though so that helped, on top of him having the Sniper Ability. I need to get this guy a wide lens, he already had an attack boosting nature, but Sniper increases the damage of a move of it crits, so he's a monster
Mismagius may have been my least used Ghost, and I am not regretting using it. Was an Eviolite Misdreavus before I finally got a damn Dusk Stone in Terminus Cave, and it now has the highest special attack on the team, something I need in a very bulky physical team that I have right now
And Marowak was my "Starter", and I never really used a Cubone. Came with Perish Song so I can basically beat anyone I want on a switch out stall, and his physical attack is not bad either especially with Power-Up Punch
And Azumarill is a Pokémon I never thought I'd use. It's a very EVEN Pokémon in stats which I never noticed, but it's an incredibly even Pokémon and pretty good for that too, Special Attack boosted, Hydro Pump, Surf, Aqua Ring, it's all good.
May do another one when Im through with this one and trade those mons to my friend for safe keeping until I transfer them to my main Y game.

Started another Randomized X Team Playthrough, with two exceptions
I had my friend gen me over a Shiny Bellsprout an a Shiny Shellder. Victribell and Cloyster are two of my favorite Pokémon ever and I have NEVER used them in a full playthrough, so that is changing. Gave them a great set I don't plan on changing either
So my team is
Bellsprout Shellder Mawhile Rhyhorn Frillish Cryognal
I haven't really used any of these in a full playthrough so I'm excited. I NEVER thought I'd use a Cryognal, especially considering it looks like it belongs in a Zelda Game and not a Pokémon one, but Sad Ass Snowflake has some upside and I plan on using it well. Just cant wait until I get my Coral Blue #5 Victribell and my Blue Shell Cloyster!

Eh for nuzlocke, I guess it gives it a tougher feel but I'm not all that sold. Fun to watch people playing though. I'm playing Y since I got it for 2 bucks back when Nintendo were giving it away. My team: (3 Badges in alway rotating the hell out of my team because of the exp all.) Ryhorn - Phil - lv24 Miltank - CannonBall - lv34 Trapinch - Snare - lv27 Exeggcute - Eggplant - lv 33 Gabite - Cynthia - lv29 Talonflame - Sodi - lv36 except for Sodi everyone else is my B team Chesnaught - Brutus - lv36 Tyrun - Reptar - lv35 Golett - Thanos - lv35 Diggersby - Kovelco - lv31 Floette - Novy - lv30 Seviper - Lucy - lv35 Scraggy - Bo - lv28 Gen1: Bulbasaur Gen2: Cyndaquil Gen3: Treecko Gen4: Piplup Gen5: Snivy Gen6: Fennekin

I add one or two strong guys and some weak ones and bump them up. Like Phil is already 30 something and i just threw a level 7 Ledyba into my team and now hes at 28. I want to use guys i've never used.
