The Death Of WCW and Hardcore History: The Extremely Unauthorized Story Of ECW are my two favorites. I have read each at least 3 times. Is Hardcore History better than the Rise & Fall of ECW DVD: The Book! ? So much better and it's not even close. For starters WWE had nothing to do with it so it's already 10x more honest than theirs. I was a big ECW fan back in the day and there was a ton of stuff in this book that I hadn't heard before.

Reviving this thread because it's the holiday season, and it's time to help my brother write his list. He's big on wrestling books, last year alone he got the books by Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Hardcore Holly, Jimmy Snuka, Jimmy Korderas, and I think even Terry Funk. This year, Chris Jericho's third book and the WCW 10th Anniversary revision will be added to the list. I read in this thread about Adnan Alkaissy releasing a book, and it sounds intriguing, so I'll see if he wants that. Any other good books?

If anyone hasn't read Pure Dynamite yet, you should.

Maybe The Squared Circle: Life, Death, and Professional Wrestling by David Shoemaker.
It wasn't super great, but it was an easy read. the book is hopefully laid out a bit better in actual book form than the eBook I bought, where pages would be sidebars in a properly formatted book, hard to describe, but it's true.
As I recall, it's a fine book, with some factual errors, but nothing bad. Just a nice little pro wrestling book.
