Well, we've got Joseph Parks having multiple personality disorder as Abyss, we have Jeff Hardy returning as a freakish alter ego who recites grim poetry while laughing maniacally, and we have Samuel Shaw as an serial killer. So are we about due for James Mitchell to return to manage one of these crazed characters, or perhaps draw them all into a stable? If only TNA had not burned the bridge with Daffney, she would have fit right in!

I keep reading this as 'is it time for Mickie James to return?' James Mitchell with an evil stable of circus freaks sounds more interesting though.

I love Father Jim, a good manager, but if he comes back, I want him to have nothing to do with Abyss. It just got too convoluted at the end.

I always thought Abyss was a fusion of Mankind/Kane and Mitchell really brings out the Kane side, unfortunately this being TNA they took the convoluted storyline side of Kane

She was hands-down more entertaining as a heel than a face, would love to see her back as old psycho Mickie that got ridiculously over back in WWE.

She was hands-down more entertaining as a heel than a face, would love to see her back as old psycho Mickie that got ridiculously over back in WWE. Heck, I'll go you one better: bring back Mickie in her psycho persona, but instead of stalking another woman, like she did with Trish, she starts stalking one of the guys on the roster at the same time Shaw is stalking Christie. Christie and whatever fellow Mickie is obsessing over start having backstage flirations, which does not set well with either Mickey or Shaw. Eventually said guy professes his affection for Christie in the ring, which leads to Shaw coming out to confront him-but when Shaw manhandles him Mickie runs out and gets into his face, setting up a confrontation ala the Wyatts and Shield. But...instead of ending with them attacking each other, they pull a Santino/Beth; in the midst of their shouting at each other a subtle tension develops between them, so Shaw moves in and lightly plants one on Mickie's lips. Mickie looks stunned, but then looks up at Shaw and gives him Maryse/Mix eyes. This sets up Mickie and Shaw getting together and constantly professing their love for each other in interviews and vignettes, but always lacing it with menacing subtext: "Mickie, there is nothing better to me than watching you sleep through your window at night." "Sam, I love you so much that if you ever cheated on me I would hunt you down and emasculate you." I can just hear Tazz labeling them "wrestling's first psycho couple."

Other than the fact that they mention Father Mitchell in just about every Abyss segment, doesn't seem like he's going to make a return to TNA at any time soon.

James Mitchell leading Abyss was the one time I truly gave a f*** about Abyss. Abyss being the silent monster with Mitchell calling the shots. Then TNA got the great idea of swagger jacking Kane/Taker backstory and giving it to them which ruined it. I thought when Abyss left, he was going to go back to his roots and return to that Abyss. Now we got him wearing Rellik's mask and Chris Harris' duster jacket while still acting like the Abyss that people didn't want back.
