I guess there's irony in the title of this thread. In that it contains the word "backlash".
BUT IT IS I WHO IS WATCHING BACKLASH ON THE NETWORK! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHA!
But for realizes though. Network is pretty awesome, and you guys did get a bum deal.

Honestly, the Network today's had enough issues. If we had to add twice the amount of people, as well as configuring to different country's formats and regulations, I can't imagine how much crazier it would have been

Meh, I'm happy to wait Let our American friends deal with the bugs and glitches and than hopefully when It finally finds it's way here it will run smoothly This my mentality too. Like I said in the other thread, I'd rather wait to get it then not get it all and I really doubt we'll miss much of anything mportant. Plus, we still have to deal with Netflix and its confusing way of dealing with copyright so this isn't anything new.

We've had it shit in the UK before (no Heat, No Smackdown, no Confidential) and we've had it good ('free' PPVs) so I don't begrudge us not getting the Network yet. Anyway if it's so much of a problem, it's not like it's impossible to get. We've never had 'free' PPVs. As someone else upthread said, Sky Sports is expensive. Elimination Chamber was on Sky Sports 1 last night. The lowest package you can get Sky Sports on costs me £40 a month. The WWE would never allow them to be shown on a non-subscription channel.

Reading stuff today has made me a little envious, but I can wait longer (and even when it does get here, I'm not 100% sure I'll get it). Hopefully it won't affect the way they book the product too much. The only thing that's irritated me recently has been the contract renewal changing all the PPV's to SBO. They need to cut us a break at some point.

It is still on sky, so don't see what the big deal is. The big deal is tonight, when (if) you watch Raw half of the show will be plugging content unavailable to you, as will be the case for the next few weeks, especially after Wrestlemania when they're going to have to do the hard-sell to try and compensate for the post Mania dip in new subscribers. I think people are kidding themselves if they think it's just going to be post-match backstage promos we'll not see. This is something that's going to get bells, ribbons, icing, candles and a mardi gras worth of promotion over the coming weeks to drive up subscribers. They're not going to simply over interviews. For the first few months at least the Network will become an integral part of their television productions. I predict exclusive announcements, over-runs and every gimmick under the sun to try and convince people to sign up. What it won't be is Rene backstage with Sheamus or footage of the ring crew getting ready to dismantle the equipment. This is their company-defining product. To say it'll come with all the trimmings will be an understatement. Then there's also the pre-PPV game show that moves exclusively now to the network and therefore exclusively out of our reach. At the Rumble we'd have missed out on the tag title change. I'm sure the USA Network and the Score 360 are both going to be thrilled that someone else is cutting out the over-run that they paid money for.

I'm sure they're not 'thrilled' when they build for a match on another network, but that happens all the time with 'This Friday on Smackdown/Monday on Raw..." and indeed "Sunday at the pay-per-view..."

I can't imagine that kind of thing would look very good if they wanted to up their television fees, either.

I'm not telling you how because rules, but it's insultingly easy to get on the network trial from outside america

Despite working all day for me, it's not working at all now. Hopefully the same problems as everyone else rather than UK related.

I can't imagine that kind of thing would look very good if they wanted to up their television fees, either. Maybe but as long as they deliver ratings I don't think loose-ended shows or storyline continuations will bother the networks. They'll just look at who is watching, how many and when. If they keep the ratings high among key demographics I can't imagine they'll be that concerned if a Sheamus vs Rollins rematch happens on the WWE Network.

I'm in Japan, so my main option for watching PPVs (and, up until recently, RAW) was pretty much "wait a week or two, then pay full price". I'd have paid 3 or 4 times the asking price for WWE Network JUST to get the PPVs in timely and legal fashion.
Hell, I've been considering buying a (useless) Network subscription just so I could (illegally) stream the PPVs without feeling like a thief.

Jeez seriously, people in Japan have to wait up to a fortnight and still pay?! That is unreal

I'm realistic about Australia's chances of getting the network, we're NEVER going to

Oh great, I visit WWE.com and see a pop-up advertising the network to international people that can't* subscribe to it, they can block videos easily enough so why do we have to put up with this?
