Not edited: Koko B Ware's theme by morris day or whatever from WrestleMania III I know this was usually always dubbed. Yet they edit out "Purple Rain" during Dusty Rhodes entrance at Starcade 1984. Those two songs were written and produced by the same guy. Maybe that person charges more for "Purple Rain" royalties than for "The Byrd". Maybe Jamie Starr is easier to work out royalty deals with than Prince.Ha ha.

I think someone just screwed up and left in the Morris Day song by mistake. Prior to this, Koko's WM III entrance always had "Piledriver" instead.

Watching Bash at the Beach 2000, and I'm pretty sure the Misfits in Action theme is edited to a generic song... If anyone cared about that. Lol

I don't know if its been mentioned, but an edit I found annoying was that during the This is NXT special, they edit Antonio Cesaro's entrance to just say "Cesaro" and they pretty obviously and terribly edit his call name to just "Cesaro." I'm fine with them calling him Cesaro from now on (even though I think its pretty dumb) but to act like he's never been called Antonio? Come on. Even funnier with this. I was watching the same, and after the match they played as interview to hype ArRival. Renee very clearly called him Antonio, multiple times. I guess when it's in your face editing it is out of the question.

Not 100% on this but it sounds like the Freebirds' theme at WrestleWar 92 has been changed.

Yeah. He originally came out to "Another One Bites the Dust" and they dubbed in the later "Grab Them Cakes." I'm pretty sure they have dubbed his entrance since the original VHS. I have the Coliseum Video tape of WM I that came out a few months after the show, and none of the mainstream music is included. JYD's entrance isn't even shown. They even re-did the opening. Vince's voiceover when running down the card is different, and the music went from this ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvlaTT6LB1I) to this www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUDLL-2bf0. TBF, the Coliseum music is epic and an acceptable replacement. That VHS does keep Hogan and Wendi's entrances...both with the same upbeat, '80s pop muzak. Also appears in the Wrestling Classic VHS, IIRC.

Based on that and the above, I am guessing the Network is cracking down on ripoffs that are too close to the original? Odd because DVDs used the Deep Purple ripoff over Shane Douglas' entrance in one or both the ECW Unreleased DVDs. It's not a new thing...on Wii's Virtual Console, there is a level in the arcade Ninja Gaiden that originally used a ripoff of Iron Man as a boss theme (said bosses are in turn ripoffs of the Road Warriors, so....). The theme does not appear in the Wii version. We have to think of writers that WWE has the rights to use the music libraries of. Jimmy Hart (now partially, apparently) and Jim Johnston are the obvious ones, and I think Harry Slash can be included for ECW themes. EDIT: If they want a song that sounds like Perfect Strangers but not blatantly, they should dig up J.W. Storm's first WCW theme.

Yeah, that is what I thought. This was the first time I had been able to make it through the entrance to notice. Lack of vocals was what jumped out at me.

On the older WCW shows, they've left in tons of music that they used to dub over on DVDs and Classics On Demand. They used to replace pretty much any WCW themes that were not written by Jimmy Hart. Examples? (I do remember the Oz theme being dubbed over on a CoD showing of his GAB '91 match with some Harry Potter like music. Yet when Oz was shown on Are You Serious?, they had the original music) EDIT: As a sidenote, I hope Superbrawl I is the original PPV version, so we can have the Oz skit in all its glory.

WCW Hotline is edited out. Spots are there but the actual numbers are obstructed. At least they didn't pull a GSN and cut out the hotline plugs (instead, it's more like USA's game show block where they'd just slap a "PHONE NUMBER NOT ACTIVE" graphic over the contact info) How about... - References to Pillman's death on Badd Blood '97? - Botches? Spot calling? - Regal's nudity was mentioned, do they still miss Nikita's "Russian sickle" pop out briefly in Starrcade '86? - Is Vince's "Mah n****!" still there? Oh I got another one. Are HBK's post-or-during match tantrums throughout '96 edited out or not?

The funniest thing is DDP's Smells Like Teen Spirit Ripoff is replaced by another blatant Nirvana ripoff

The Royal Rumble 1993 doesn't have the Vince throat-burner run-down and the Beverley Brother's theme is the generic overdub.

The Royal Rumble 1993 doesn't have the Vince throat-burner run-down... The 1993 Rumble had no opening at all when it originally aired, so that's not an edit. The 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1992 Rumbles did have openings voiced over by Vince, though, and they're all included on the Network.

They edited "A Man Called Sting" -_- Oh and I haven't got a Benoit warning, and I've watched a few shows with Benoit in them. Most I've gotten says "All wrestlers in these shows are fictitious characters and they do not represent the views of the wrestlers portraying them or World Wrestling Entertainment. You can block this show using the parental block feature" That is the Benoit warning.
