I don't have as many issues with Slappy's design, since again, with the exception of the freckles, he looks close enough to the original design I'm also curious if the woman in black is Vanessa from "Chicken Chicken". Then I can imagine Troy Steele literally throwing the goddamn DVD across the room.

And done THAT'S NOT SLAPPY Unless you're referring to the TV version (which honestly looks more like how they described Mr. Wood in the first book, making the lack of the first book having an episode even more strange), then it's pretty much close to what the books have always designed him as. David Hasselhoff?

Slappy looks fine.
The creepy vampire/goblin guy looks vaguely familiar. Can't think who it might be though.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler} It's all about realizing how eerily similar my sig is to this particular cover, which scared the shit out of me the most.

If you're a child of the 90's then Goosebumps was probably the first chapter book you started reading as a kid. Loved them as a kid but as an adult have to say RL Stine is a little bit of a hack who ripped off tons of famous horror films and just puth is own twist on them.
Chucky from Child's Play and Slappy from Goosebumps are incredibly similar.

To be fair the concept of the evil doll goes way before Chucky, but yeah, he cribbed a lot from Twilight Zone and older movies, but did them to work for a younger audience.

Ah, the guy who was doing Russo swerves before Russo was doing them.
"I put this cream on and now my hair won't stop growing." "It's not the cream, it's just you turning back into a dog."
