Well, there's Mick Foley. Rikishi comes to mind. And, you know...Mabel. This isn't "list overweight wrestlers" it's who let themselves go. Foley and Rikishi were always pretty hefty, and when was Mabel anything other than massive? Foley was big, yeah. But he went from mid-upper 200's to 300+ by the end of his run. Rikishi too was always big, but he looked to almost double in size in between leaving the WWE and his first cameo return. And Mabel was gigantic, but nothing compared to his size as the World's Largest Love Machine.

Batista- he gets gassed pretty quickly now, you have other superstars his age that can still go Batista just came back after four yrs off. Wrestling isn't like any other physical endeavor in the scope of performance or athletics. Workers bodies are conditioned to take what happens in ring. When you jump off the treadmill mid stride as he did, then try to come back at the same pace you left, you will not be able to keep up until your body is reconditioned to handle it. Look at Foley in late 99-2000. The guys was in horrible shape, but he kept pace with HHH, Rock etc. this is because he had muscle memory to bumps as well as the specific cardio a wrestler needs. Give him some time. Undertaker is like 50 and has wrestled on top in the most high profile, most exhausting promotion pro wrestling ever knew. Add in a dose of hepatitis thanks to Cowboy Bob Orton and the amazing thing is not how bad he looks, but that he isn't either dead(no pun intended) or worse. The matches he works are still masterpieces and he wouldn't work if he couldn't at least put on a show. If he looks old when he comes on screen for hype, 99% of fans lose that three. I mutes into one of his WM matches. He makes you believe. If anything its more impressive for his gimmick that he makes you lose disbelief that a geriatric wrestler can still threaten and beat guys half his age

Oh and Tyson Tomko looked chiseled before his departure from TNA. He came back and looked like he had swallowed the entire front row of an Impact taping...nah scratch that. If he ate the front row of an impact taping, he wouldn't put on a lbs. hehehehehehehehehe

As in, letting their build and fitness deteriorate over time, for any reason, though emphasizing less from age and more from perceived lack of caring or discipline. You could potentially also apply this to retired wrestlers, as DDP proves that not every retired wrestler has to be as fat as say, Ted DiBiase Sr. even with age as an excuse. Matt Hardy during his late WWE run is so obvious of a choice that I'm not even going to post the picture (of him facing off with Christian, you know the one). Braden Walker is the other obvious example, especially considering the progression from to I was going to post the picture of Zack Ryder looking like Guy Fieri but that may have just been a single unflattering picture, and this thread is probably better served by mentioning wrestlers not on the current roster anyhow, unless you can think of someone. My God. What the hell happened to Chris Harris between leaving TNA and becoming Braden Walker? It's like he ate his former self.

Are you serious? Dude isn't as ripped as he used to be but he's still in great shape. He was pretty chunky during his SRS Jericho phase:

From what I remember Brian Knobbs like tripled in size when he showed up in TNA... not that he was ever really in shape.

First thought was Ahmed Johnson.
It always amazes me to talk to overweight men and see pictures of them in high school when they were much more muscular.
I can see myself starting to get fat too. I was in very good shape during my senior year in high school, but once I got into the restaurant business, there is little to no time to work out. Even though I can get back into great shape, I find myself not having the motivation.
Theres really no excuse for those that get back in the business and are a shell of their former self.

Adrian Adonis was pretty alarming. I saw him on some MSG Classics from early 80s and was amazed how badly he let himself go within just a couple of years. I agree. I saw two different versions of him while watching some classic AWA. From: Guy on far left To: Guy in top right I bet he had added another 100 lbs here after leaving WWF, he is almost Yokozuna here. That is so sad. That earlier image has Adonis in even greater shape than I ever thought he was.

What's really sad is that Adonis dropped a very large amount of that weight just before he passed away, in a bid to get back to the WWF.

From what I remember Brian Knobbs like tripled in size when he showed up in TNA... not that he was ever really in shape. Reminds me of a story in Foley's 4th book, I'm sure it was. Knobbs goes in for drug testing. Goes back to get his results. The doctor tells him he's failed. He goes, "Ok, what did you catch me for?" The doctor says, "Steroids." Knobbs tore off his shirt and says, "Does it look like I'm on f***ing steroids? !!!" The doctor "Obviously, we've made a mistake"

Braden is the most egregious, to me.
Most of them have injuries or the like to attribute their weight loss to. Braden's was so laughably stupid as a career move that it had him get publicly mocked for it, both on WWE television and by wrestlers outside of WWE like Lance Storm. To paraphrase Storm, "If you show up to your WWE debut in the worst shape of your career, you are an idiot." He also asked if situps were on the list of WWE's banned substances.

Fairly certain the list begins and ends with Yokozuna, sadly. Yoko wasn't exactly flexing with a six-pack at the beginning. He just let himself go...further.
