Husband gets stabbed with the Masters Sword during argument

Here is the story: A man was arguing with his girlfriend in their own home. Then she decided to call her estranged husband, according to Local 2 news in Houston. The husband came over and started chasing the other man, Eugene Thompson, who ran to his room and grabbed the sword like a true nerd in trouble.
Thompson says he held the sword in front of him to defend himself while yelling at the husband to get out. The problem is that the husband somehow walked right into the point of the sword, stabbing himself
Eugene explained, “I do anime conventions and stuff, dress up in costume. So I got it, because it’s a good replica, and it looks nice, and it so happens to be pointed and bladed,” The husband had to be taken to the hospital where he was in serious condition. We aren’t sure if charges will be filed. You can’t make this stuff up.
