Spurs are pretty good. And so many people wrote them off this year. Yeah I was worried for a bit, but I think they're better then they were last year. I'm glad they get this last stretch of the season to really gel. Problem is the top of the Western conference is also tougher than last year. I could see any of the top 4 teams taking it.

Spurs are pretty good. And so many people wrote them off this year. Who did that? They still have Parker/Duncan and Kawhi is one of the better emerging players in the league, although people underrate the shit out of him. Just note that they're 39-9 with him and 8-7 without him.

Dallas wins tonight thus staying in the playoff ranking.
Paul Pierce said it best tonight too "Miami has won a lot of their games based off of fear factor."

9th win in a row for the Clippers, another big game for Blake Griffin (damn you LeBron and Durant for your seasons, otherwise Blake would be the leading MVP candidate), and the Clippers are 2 back of the Thunder for the 2 seed, and only 3 back from the Spurs for the 1. The win also increases their lead in the division to 5.

That's 18 Straight for the Sixers Make it 19 tonight. Does anybody really see them ending the season on a 36-game losing streak, let alone just reaching 27? I do.

I can't believe the Spurs - the same "broken down, old, past-their-prime" Spurs that so many critics said about them - have the best record in the NBA, and are a full 2.5 games ahead of the Heat for that distinction.
Very proud to be a Spurs fan. There's a decent chance we might win 50 games again this year.

The Spurs seem to be underestimated every year because of Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili's age (they throw Tony Parker in there forgetting that he's only in his early 30's). Sports anylists are a very reactionary lot. When they lost the Finals last year, critics would do nothing but talk about how much the Spurs sucked and this will be the year they crumbled. The Spurs (my second favorite NBA team next to the bulls) is not about how old the engine is, but how well it runs. Of course the anylists will never talk about how fine tuned the the Spurs' engine is, that would mean admitting they were wrong.

Wait, so Phil Jackson's finance is the president of the Lakers (Jerry Buss' daughter), and he's going to join the front office of another basketball team on the other side of the country?
.....wow.

So I'm playing the My Career on NBA 2K14(which I love how they have cutscenes and all this shit, though I kind of dislike how they sometimes don't give me a choice in how I act, so I act a fool against my will, such as after the second game of the season I bitch about playing time to the assistant coach, even though I wouldn't have done that if given the choice), and a funny thing happened. You know your jerk ass rival in this mode, Jackson Ellis? Well we are divisional rivals too. Cause see he was drafted 9th by the Timberwolves, and I was drafted 10th by the Trail Blazers(which by the way I now know the Blazers kind of suck without Aldridge and Lillard on the court, cause we were playing the Rockets and were beating them by a decent margin, but then Aldridge fouled out early in the 4th, and since I'm a Point Guard, Lillard was on the bench, so our only real offense was Batum. We were blown out......). Anyways so far me and the Blazers are killing it, 7-2, third best record in the league.

The Knicks announced a press conference Tuesday morning to announce Phil Jackson's hiring.
I hope this doesn't end up like the Larry Brown year.

The Heat lose back to back games at home for the first time since March 2011. Sunday, they take on the Rockets. If there was any time for Miami to snap out of this cold streak filled with turnovers and missed opportunities, the time hopefully will be right on Sunday afternoon.

I really don't think the Heat care. They put on cruise control to the playoffs because they know they're going to be in and are good enough to beat any team in the East, so they don't see the need to kill themselves playing int he regular season. The East isn't competitive enough top to bottom to give them a reason to. By playoff time, they'll probably be lights out again.

If Philly gets the number one pick it would be a shame. You should not get rewarded for intentionally losing. What they're doing is tarnishing the validity of the league and they're robbing their season ticketholders.
Adam Silver should strip them of their lottery pick and make them pick last.
