Jordan got all the calls when he was playing, but yeah, I'd agree that officials need to be puished when there is preferential play calling. They don't want to piss off the home crowd, so they give the home team's star players leeway.

They don't want to piss off the home crowd, so they give the home team's star players leeway. Absolutely, Jordan definitely received a lot of calls. If the officials are obviously showcasing favoritism to the home team/star players, and if it's seen or caught, then they definitely should be fined or fired. The whole "not wanting to piss off the home crowd", is a lame excuse in my opinion and I know it's been brought up a lot. Just let the players play. I'm not saying ignore a center trying to take Lebron's head off or anything. But they need to stop being so whistle happy at the slightest contact, if they're so trigger happy with technicals, then start throwing them out when star players throw tantrums when they're called for a foul. Like I said, the fans could see just how good these guys are, if the officials just called it the way it needs to be called.

Please let it be the Empire. Do you really want to share a name with a group where most of the people couldn't shoot worth a f***?

I'd like to see the D-League actually be used as a developmental/minor league system as opposed to the Rejects' League. But that won't happen when the NCAA serves the same purpose for free.

Isaiah Thomas completely out played John Wall tonight!
Isaiah had a triple double finishing with 24 points 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
I hope we can keep Rudy and Isaiah long term.

This just popped into my head as I was watching the Knicks-Pacers game, but can we stop talking about "how much" the Knicks gave up to get Melo? Gallinari is out injured, Wilson Chandler isn't all that great, and the Nuggets STILL can't get out of the first round. The Knicks clearly won that trade.

The Nuggets also have the better record this season, and getting out of the 1st round in the West is more difficult than getting to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Gallinari is out injured, Wilson Chandler isn't all that great, and the Nuggets STILL can't get out of the first round. The Knicks clearly won that trade. They did? The Knicks are 131-112 since Carmelo Anthony arrived in 2011 to be New York's saving grace. They're 6-6 in the postseason, advancing past the quarterfinals once. They've played in a terrible division, and all they had to do was surpass a broken-down, aging Celtics team, and they still couldn't do that until last year's playoffs. If you ask me, Carmelo's return to the Knicks has been an abject failure. He hasn't made New York the mecca of basketball, he hasn't enticed any elite players to play with him, and now he enters an off-season in which he's hitting free agency, and could flee the coup, and what do the Knicks have to show for it? A barely-above-.500 record in a putrid division in a pathetic conference and no real playoff success. Sure, Denver hasn't exactly raised any banners, but they've played above .500 basketball in a much more challenging conference and they still possess New York's first-round pick in June's NBA Draft, which in all likelihood will be a top-10 pick.
