I am rooting for the Spurs for this championship. I cannot stomach another Heat championship and ESPN circle jerk of Lebron. Miami, some of their fanbase, and the media that parade them and praise them as if they're the second coming need to be humbled.
But they need to do something with Westbrook that involves him playing at his natural position.

I'm backing Miami because LeBron has a legit shot at matching Jordan if he can win a another couple of rings and continue his current pace for a few more years, and I would love nothing more than to be able to say that I was able to watch the GOAT play every night, while being able to understand what I was watching (unlike Jordan, since I was too young to grasp it).

Westbrook is so insanely talented, but he's so dumb sometimes. He takes horrible shots a LOT, when he's good enough to get far easier shots every time. The whole "Westbrook takes too many shots" thing was always overblown - he needs to take those shots for OKC to win most of the time. It's the fact that he takes so many BAD shots that frustrates me. This is a guy thats good enough to shoot around 50% from the field, but hes at around 43% every year, which just isn't good enough. If he smartened up a bit and cleaned up his bad shots (like LeBron and Wade have done over the last few years), OKC would have a much better chance at success imo. This I agree with. Westbrook settles for bad shots way too damn often. And it isn't like he can't create his own shot, because he can. Truthfully I prefer it when Westbrook drives to the basket instead of pulling up for a jumper. Every time he pulls up it makes me cringe a little, even if he makes it.....>_>

Circumstances have changed, but the end result would be the same. Heat need to win 3 in Miami and 1 in San Antonio, just like a year ago.

I'm just in it because this series should be another nail bitter. But I'm putting my money on the Spurs.

And unfortunately this series proved the Thunder still need to add some pieces to their team.
They need another consistent bench scorer to help Reggie, and they need another good two-way big man in case Ibaka goes down. Cause no Ibaka means the Thunder aren't really the Thunder. Westbrook and Durant can't do what they want to do.
As long as the Thunder have Russ, Durant, and Serge, they'll be a contender, but their contending window is closing.....

Vogel and Brooks will end up switching jobs and somehow each end up worse off.
Both of them stumbled into massive piles of talent and each team suffered for doing well enough that they couldn't fire the coach.

Depends on Parker's ankle, but this series should be even better than last years'. Manu looked like a shell of himself last June. Wade's knee was a problem he had to fight through all seven games. Leonard was still trying to take that next step and become the man for the Spurs. Bosh was still deciding between being a perimeter guy or a tweener.
Roles are established, players are more healthy, and players are better. This is going to kick ass.

But on the flip side, I'm so tired of the circle jerking over how the Spurs are god's gift to the game of basketball. This is a no-win scenario for me. Either the Spurs win again- and you know how I feel about them- or Miami threepeats. I wish there was a neither could win. I hate sequels. This will be Bills-Cowboys SB 28 all over again.

Spurs in 4. The faster this gets over with, the better.
I'm gonna be sick and tired by game 3 hearing over and over again how LEBRON IS GOD or SAN ANTONIO IS THE GREATEST FRANCHISE!
Go anyone else in 2015.

I know some people may think that Heat Vs. Spurs is boring, but that doesn't mean they can't have another entertaining series just like they did last year. This will be a harder battle for Miami because they don't have the home court advantage, but I expect them to win at least 1 on the road just like they did last year. Hopefully, they can protect home court for 3 games as well. I'd say Miami takes it in 6 or 7, preferably 6.

The NBA romanticizer in me dreamed of Portland or Washington crashing the NBA Finals party after that awesome first round. The NBA realist in me feared the same outcome was looming.
I loved this NBA season, but I'm a hockey fan first and foremost who grew up loving an anything can happen playoffs.
Forget the Finals- how many bottom 5 seeds have crashed the conference finals party in a non-lockout shortened season since the '95 Rockets?

I don't want Miami to win it again but I'd much rather them win it than the Spurs. I'm a Phoenix fan, I could never cheer for San Antonio.
