At least WWE didn't do what they usually do with planted fans, by bringing in a collection of beautiful women and handsome men. The people who were in the ring felt like real fans. Old people, kids, heavier people, tall, short, black, white, there was a little bit of everything, and that added to the moment.
Had it just been a collection of gorgeous women in their mid 20s and muscular NXT rejects, it would've felt so phony.

It was a memorable and appropriate segment.
I guess I would have preferred a variety of db shirts and the high fiving felt like they had been given too much direction.
Just two cents.....

That's fair, but come on. You try to be on live TV in front of a screaming, packed arena, getting the oppportunity to yell at HHH and have him yell back at you and NOT hi-five everyone around you. My arm would have fallen clean off at the amount of hifives I would have been doling out.

Maybe it's because I was there, but I loved the segment. My friend and I got so pumped when Bryan threw out the title match stipulation.

Before the break I thought it was pretty lame.
It was only a handful of people who were all obviously the writers and backstage staff.
Then when they came back from the break and the ring was full it wasn't so bad. To be honest there wasn't alot of ways they could accomplish Bryan getting his requests (other than Vince coming back and siding with him, which would have diluted the storyline), so this was fine.

I know what you mean. They wrote themselves into a helluva corner over the course of 2013 and when they realized they'd acutally have to give Bryan the WM spot this was the best they could do. There's a part of me that honestly thinks they JUST thought it up last week after the whole "hijack RAW" stuff from Chicago. "Maybe we should have Bryan hijack Raw. But lets call it Occupy RAW. We don't want fans thinking we care TOO much." Though to be honest, for me, when I think about HHH, his greatest downfall is his ego. He sees himself as the GOAT of all time, so ideally I would have liked to have seen legends coming back and challenging Bryan at WM because they see HE'S the next big thing. 'Taker, Hogan, Jericho, etc all state they want to fight the BEST at WM and challenge Bryan. HBK & Edge say if they were still active wrestlers they'd challenge Bryan. This infuriates HHH who then says he'll fight Bryan to PROVE he's better than him and that legends should be wanting to challenge HHH, not Bryan at WM.

Would've been cool if the YES fans were all wearing the different YES Movement shirts, and not just the same one DB was wearing.

They need to be careful to not make Daniel Bryan into the WWE's version of an ass-kicking liberal or they may risk backlash in the red states - and I'm only half-joking. But with that out of the way, I really enjoyed the segment. I mentioned this in a thread a week or so ago about Mania entrances and I'll include it here - should Bryan make it to the title match, he needs to be accompanied to the ring by a mob two times the size of last night's doing the "YES!" chants. It'd make for one of the most amazing visuals in Mania history. I thought it was a great visual and a well done segment. Wwe took the whole hijack idea and ran with it for maximum effect. Also a Liberal ass kicker Daniel Bryan vs A Zeb Coulter backed Ryback would be a money feud during an election season. Right now Bryan's support is based on the fact that WWE has made it seem like that dont like him. Once only the markesist of smarks still believe that it will be difficult to maintain the popularity a feud like that could get him great mixed reactions like Cena has and keep him popular for the rest of his career.

I just thought it was corny that WWE was just now doing an "Occupy ______" segment in 2014.

I just feel if that had happened in a city like Chicago or New York it might have felt a bit more bigger than it was.

I noticed that some of the YES fans were wearing wristbands. Maybe they're the live fans that got invited to be a part?

I thought it was pretty cool, honestly the negativity on this board and the internet in general can really deflate you if you actually enjoyed the segment like I did.

I've been floored by the amount of negativity that segment has received on here. It was far from perfect, and might not have even been the best segment on Raw, but it more than accomplished what was needed IMO. I enjoyed it. THANK YOU! All I've read here for the last month or so is, "Daniel Bryan needs to get into the main event at Wrestlemania." Then this stuff happens and everyone gets mad and says, "THIS ISN'T HOW I THOUGHT IT SHOULD GO!"

Liking the end result and liking the way the story got to that result are two different things and liking one and not the other is perfectly logical.

Because unless wrestling "fans" are made to look as cool as the Fonz and as smart as Bill Gates, they're embarrassing.

I forgot all about RAW last night. I'll have to see this segment soon.
