It's not out for PC yet so I've sadly been unable to get my hands on it. I've been watching a friend stream here and there and whenever he's had issue invading or helping someone out, quitting to the menu and re-loading has worked for him.

Ugh. That sounds just divine. So I finally went back for my rematch with the Pursuer and obliterated him. I could have done it a while ago, it seems. Of the two main routes to the Lost Bastille, I enjoy the one through the No Man's Wharf the most. The Loot you get through the Forest of Fallen Giants is arguably better, though. Oh, and how about that Boss Battle at the Bell Tower? I'll not mention what it is in case some people don't want to be spoiled. I beat it my second try, but I thought it was impossible until I decided to be really, really patient. I still need to go back to the Lost Bastille to go see MacDuff sometime. I will say though, those Mummies that bellyflop/explode at you? So annoying. You don't have ember yet, do you?

There's a bonfire by him though apparently, figured I'd activate that while I could and teleport when need be. Tell you what though, if you couldn't teleport, the levelling system in this game would suck ass.

Not actually leveling anymore, I'm spending all my souls on upgraded armor and weapons that I'm dropping for whomever summons me When you're co-op, you gain souls incredibly quick so I don't need to worry about losing them.

So, Lost Sinner. Jesus. Just perpetual motion. Didn't help that the dude I'd summoned was committed to using this fancy double-bladed Sword that did like, no damage. Seriously, he'd been putting out a decent amount against the mummies leading up to it, then used that and was doing about 30 damage to the boss whilst myself and the AI phantom were taking chunks out of it. They both got polished off in short form though, and then I got overwhelmed.

I'm probably just gonna go somewhere else for a bit, then go destroy it.

Yeah sorry if we were over-zealous. When I'm a sunbro I tend to think its my job to do whatever necessary to have the summoner survive. This was also only my second non-boss fight summon, so the 'kill everything that moves' mentality is just in my head. Of course you can always go back after a bonfire and see everything you missed

I am planning to just run through all of the burg and parish again on my own.

If you're still in the 20's, throw down a summon sign in front of that burg bonfire or near the forest path entrance by the parish and you can do a lil co-op to help out yourself I'm actually at 40 now, since a boss was giving me the business and I wanted a new weapon.

I am about done but I would rather do more PvP before finishing. No one seems to be able to handle my expert strategy of hitting things until they stop moving.

Why not go to the Belfry? Because the Gargoyles give me a whupping without fail. The one boss battle where you'd think it'd be instrumental to require help, and there's no summon signs anywhere. I figure it's because it's kinda off the beaten path, so not as many folks are just throwing them down.

The key is to be patient and only fight one at a time--even when it's 3 on 1. If you have a lightening weapon, it seemed to work best on them. A spear is particularly good.
