If you're still in the 20's, throw down a summon sign in front of that burg bonfire or near the forest path entrance by the parish and you can do a lil co-op to help out yourself I'm actually at 40 now, since a boss was giving me the business and I wanted a new weapon. I am going to try that. It seems like being a phantom is more boss than just playing it.

Its a lot of fun, but sadly you cant heal yourself except with humanity. The hosts estus will heal you when he uses it though. I had to find the talisman and invest 2 points into attunment, 2 into faith, and buy Heal from the guy near Firelink shrine. Worth it though as you can keep yourself alive easier. If you're going to co-op a lot look into it, but you can probably do the T Demon and Gargoyles without it at this point.
Going out, but may be back on at 10 or midnight if you are.

The Dualshock 4 sure does feel better with this game than the DS3.

I used to farm the baby skeletons in Tomb of Giants if I knew I was going to be Co-Op'ing or invading people. I think my highest level character had 99 in reserve last time I played. Was good stuff.

I think I'm screwed. I just lost twenty five times to the Pursuer, so I only have 50% health left, and no human efergies (sp?) left to buy. I couldn't figure out why I was doing so badly, but looking at this thread, it seems there's other bosses I could be facing at this point, so maybe I'm not supposed to be fighting the Pursuer, yet. Problem is, I have no idea where to go D:

Problem is, I have no idea where to go D: If you can grab an effigy, then summon someone get them to stand near the entrance and head for the ballistas. You can pretty much kill him in in one shot from 'em. It's cheap, but it works!

After a while, effigies can become largely--or entirely--unnecessary depending on your play style.

A friend of mine who's a giant Souls fan was talking a little earlier about how he perceived the game to be "casual-ised" and made a lot easier. Investigating into it with another friend we find out he's experiencing what we think is a bug where he has unlimited estus. He can drink and drink and drink and the damn thing doesn't empty. It's either the best or the worst bug ever.

I beat it yesterday, and I've mostly been dicking around before starting a new character. I could have beaten it ages ago but I actually didn't know where the last boss was because it was kind of an obscure location.

It affected his motivation for sure, ended up playing more Titanfall then Souls.

Got it last Thursday, had to drive out to another Gamestop because the PS3 version was sold out at most stores. Been loving it, it's a bit intimidating at first like Demon's and Dark 1, but I'm getting more used to it. Haven't played it in a few days, going to have to do a little bit this morning.

Anyone here got Santier's Spear? Was just reading about it, it's just a spear really, but once you break it....

Damn, I'm honestly jealous of people who can play these games. They look so effing awesome, and I love watching live streams of them.
I just can't play them to save my life.

I haven't played it the past couple of days due to being busy, but today I started back up and I can say that I hate the Smelter Demon with a passion.

It's just about being patient and reading the opponent's attack patterns. By the way, has anyone had trouble summoning? It keeps saying the summon mark has disappeared or they just time out.

If you pick up the original I'll gladly hold your hand until you get your bearings ^_^ As a note on the original, I've been playing a very low-level character just to help the first few bosses, and twice in a row I ran into a summoner who didn't think to let us know Havel was super pissed at him. The first time he pointed at the door, and the first phantom ran in and IMMEDIATELY ate a Dragon's Tooth. The very time I was summoned I was following the player and he went right up stairs, I followed, and just avoided being smashed myself while Havel was hanging out up top. Fun/irritating times.

Ah, the problem with me is, chances are... I'll never get my bearings. I just don't seem to get better at games, I start at a certain skill level and remain there forever. Which really doesn't work with a game like Dark Souls.
